Think of ThisGenGaming a little bit like N4G in a sense that although not an aggregator, there's still multiple writers contribute to the site, there was no intent to trash the game it's just that the different reports emerged some hours after that original report. If power means so little then why did everyone (Sony themselves) make such a big deal out of it with the PS4 in 2013 and since? It seems, as it did with Xbox fans over the past 3 years, power doesn't matter only when your console of preference isn't the most powerful.
Apart from Uncharted 4 there hasn't been like a massive mass appeal game really when I come to think about it, perhaps No Man's Sky? But then, we all know how that turned out
Honestly I think the majority of console owners are the gamers who only play games like CoD, Fifa, Madden etc. which isn't to say there's anything wrong with that but first party, new IP etc. definitely is the icing on the cake for the more so-called 'hardcore' fans
