Personally I have never bought any DLC, my policy has always been, it should be on the disc at release, ESPECIALLY for the ps3 because it has the space(except for games which really fill up the disc aka killzone 2, mgs4), and even then it has to be DLC which isnt more of the same.
The attach rate will only increase, especially with the upcoming pricecut, not to mention their superb game line up for the rest of 2009 and 2010.
Playstation is the definitive destination for hardcore gamers and soon casual gamers aswell when the motion controller arrives.

Even though it still voids the warranty, but it is useful when your warranty expires.

The RROD is a reality and is still a problem even with the newer 360's.
Smart consumers will want to weigh in on the fact that it might die on you a few times so take that in consideration when you buy one.
For very smart consumers a ps3 is certainly advised.
Lastly, as always you get what you pay for...
