Everyone pays to play online. Last time I checked PSN didnt include free internet service. I kinda see your point but it is really like this. You can either pay 50.00 a month to your ISP to game on PSN or you can pay 55.00 50 to your ISP and 5 to MS for gaming on Live. Now is it really that big of a deal? You're still paying for online just live members pay a bit more.

Sorry but if PSN accounts include PC, PS3 and PSP, I do not see how the PS3 being the lowest selling of the 3 could account for most of the user base of PSN. I am also sure that many people like yourself have 4-5 PSN accounts.When you take into account the poor software sales and geat blu ray sales it is hard to believe that PSN has more than 10 million users if that.
When someone does post the article the keep referring to notice that the sales figures they use are for Japan only mainly. Very poorly written article and all the proof you need that PS3 sales are indeed poor. If they were not poor they could pull up more than just 1 bias article that is clearly using select data to make its point.
Very true. All the PS3 articles are taking sales from specific points in the year or select regions to try to say PS3 has great worldwide sales.. Like when Konami of Japan launched MGS4 for PS3 and nothing for 360. Ps3 fanboys are now pulling up an article showing how Konami made more money for the entire year world wide simply based off of them offering one exclusive game in one region of the world and how well it did.
Johny rotten. The article you posted is complete BS. Anyone can see that. The EA numbers they use are for 1 quarter of the year and it just happens to be at a time when they knew their PS numbers but not the exact MS numbers, also the entire article uses mainly Japan only numbers to act like it is that way in the rest of the world. However that is not the case. When the only proof you have is this article then you have no proof at all.

I`m pretty sure the PS3 and 360s attach rates are fairly similar nowadays. A long time ago, they weren`t. So, I wouldn`t go as far as to say not NEARLY as much. "
Sorry but the PS3 attach rate is still around 5 while the 360 is at 8. PS3 games sale poorly and when the 360 and Wii were at similar install bases they still managed to sale more software than Sony.

That is a very fanboyish comment that has no place in this zone. Killzone 2 is just another FPS and nothing special and nobody can argue that point that has played it.
Madworld is higher in the best selling chart than Wii fit and Killzone2. I wonder if we'll see an article pointing that out though like we do every time killzone2 gets ahead of some other game.

It is funny that you pull up Edge as the norm when they are actually the lowest score. And I cant believe any one that calls themselves a gamer can give credit to any edge review after the past couple of weeks.
I think it allows them to put in content that they didnt have time to get into the game. Some companies do abuse the system but not all. Square is probably the worst. In their FFCC My life as King game for Wii most of the DLC you can buy is only good for your current game and does not carry over.
Very few modern games can be considered hard when compared to many Nes/Sega era games. They didnt even have difficulty settings for most games, they were just extremely difficult.
Anyway right off the top of my head I can think of one game the really need to add to the list. Battletoads was one of the worst imo.
Sony didnt pay for quality games, they paid for more games. Less money going to 3rd parties means they have more cash to fund more internal projects. I agree though that it didnt make the games great. MGs would have been the same even if FF had stayed exclusive, or any of the other games they've lost
Name changing is done that way so when your friends are banned from most games because they were jerks and cant find anyone to play with, MS forces them to pay in the hopes they will straighten up and act right. Giving them out for free means any 12 year old can be a complete a$$ and be right back 20sec later with a new name to annoy people. Your post tells me a lot about how you and your friends act on live.
