I assume PC games will be at 2 next gen more advanced when the next gen consoles are released.

I actually liked the PC version more than the consoles.

Since 2007 they been using the same engine (old engine of 1999), just with minor tweaks on each COD.
Since COD 4, then it went to downhill.
Maybe it would be more reasonable to release Black Ops 1.1 as a DLC based on disc, oh wait.
I want to see what is capable to do, what are the new ways for the Devs and games.

That depends. From Software the Dev, only made 2 games for PC.
PC Gamers not only want Dark Souls on PC, but also a good support of DS on PC, that means, not a rushed ported version of the game just because PC gamers want the game.
About the sales, it is only matter if they introduce the game on Steam with good price.

The PS3 launch was different, from games to the hardware. A Blu ray device alone in 2006 was at $800 or MORE but Sony decided with $600 - $500 for PS3.
Sony failed at there, also because of the lack of games at launch.
PS Vita launch is different, Sony DID LEARN, from PS3 launch, also from PSP GO disappointment.
PS Vita have variety of games for it's launch.

This Author didn't even include DUST 514. That game stand out from other games when it comes to FPS/MMO gaming, not only in PS3, but in all consoles.
