Stale? If you play with a mouse and keyboard it's almost exactly the same gameplay. The only difference is FFXIV's 8-man "raids" have been overtuned to the point that people mass rage quit the game.
If I had to pick one that's stale, it'd have to be FFXIV. After your first character your only options to level are FATE grind parties, which hardly exist now even during this free login campaign, and Leve grinding. Oh and want a basic Lv210 Atma weapon? ...

At least they got the framerate solid this time on one console. Bloodborne had a few issues, uncommon but still noticeable. They've already announced a Day-1 patch to fix performance issues on XBox One. It's very tempting to buy it from the Japanese xbox store though...

PS4 and XBone can already handle 4k movies, as well as netflix. Unless there is a hardware upgrade, there is little point. Unless of course, Sony is so drunk that they think they are Apple now.

Don't be greedy, that would take a lot of work. It's not like Disney is a giant empire, or EA is one of the biggest publishers in the industry. There's no way they could afford to do all that. Sure battlefront 2 had all that, but Pandemic probably had thousands of employees when they made battlefront 2 in 2005. After all, Dice doesn't have any experience making games with vehicles and large environments. It was just too much content. Over 30 maps at launch, that was overkill, ...
Auto-combos are easy to do, and easy to break. If they are too easy for you, start using manuals. Some heavy manuals are 1-frame links, should be tough enough for ya.
Season 3 is changing a lot of stuff. I'm not sure how I feel about all the juggle potential they added.

I think most people criticize FFXIII relative to the series. I'd say XIII sucks compared to 4 through 9, but I still re-bought the FF13 trilogy on steam.
I've come to accept that "Final Fantasy" just isn't Final Fantasy anymore. It's now called Bravely Default/Second.
I used to love Sunset Overdrive until I went for all the achievements, and had to farm to buy the collectables maps. If you plan to get all the achievements, buy the maps first! Only weapon you need is hairspray launcher anyway.
Japan got shadowfall over a year and a half ago on PS+.
Sony has no incentive to put better games on PS+. They have millions of subscribers no matter what they put out. Corporations are never generous, unless they have a major PR problem. Which is the only time they can legally not focus on profits anyway.
They aren't making Final Fantasy, they are making Kingdom Hearts Versus XIII: The Bromance Soap Opera.
PS4 and XBone can play 4k movies already at 24 and 30 fps. The only thing they can really add is an updated HDMI and maybe a hardware decoder. If it is just for movies.
I think they want stronger hardware for VR.

They didn't misunderstand it, it just made everyone cringe. Forcing a laugh or a smile wasn't anything new in storytelling or real life.
I find it fun. Strategic RPGs are getting farther and farther apart. Valkyria Azure Revoluction is a hack'n'slash/cover shooter. FFVII Remake and FFXV are both variations of Kingdom Hearts. Last ATB rpg I can even recall is Child of Light, at least one where I could control the whole party, it's battle system was ripped right out of Grandia.
