I would buy it. I want better performace from my console games, worth the cost to me.
Then maybe they will go 3rd party?
Imagine.. Playing online Nintendo games on the VASTLY superior PSN or Xbox Live networks..
I can dream right? Sighs..
It has repeatedly been announced that mods would be available for free.
All these articles.. Customers have shown that they will pay extra for a premium experience.
PSVR has massive preorder numbers, and that's a $400 Peripheral device.
Xbox Elite controller was sold out in stores for months.
No, this is not a middle finger to customers. This is an acknowledgment of changing demand from customers. I think people are going to be surprised at how well this device sells.
Just because there have been numerous PS4 Neo leaks.. Does not mean Microsoft is 'allowing Sony to take the first step'
For all we know they could both announce new consoles at E3.
Nonsensical huh?
I want to play games at 1080p and 60fps. Frankly that is a bar that this current generation of consoles struggles to meet. If this console upgrade can manage at least that, let alone 4k, I'll gladly buy it.
This is a smart move, and keeps PS4 as the best place to play games.
Think about it.. What would happen if the NX released with significantly better specs than the PS4? Third party games would look and run bett...
Lot's of rumors are pointing toward Xbox doing the same thing, releasing another more powerful system.
It'll be interesting to see the spec comparison between PS4neo and Xbox 1.5 (or whatever they call it.)
I understand why people are upset.. I do..
But personally I really want an updated console. I want to play my games at 1080p and 60fps and I'll gladly pay for a console that guarantees better performance in gaming.
I've been playing this game all morning and honestly.. It's just no where close to as fun as Star Fox 64.
The controls are SO frusterating.
Sony rubbed people the wrong way with a $600 PS3, and eventually had a huge comeback years later.
It can totally happen, it's happened before! Will it though? We'll just have to see what these companies announce.
Edit: You're totally right, I'll take that back.
Still representing both genders in Nintendo's main RPG seems like an overall good move. I'm sure they can find a way to justify that, Nintendo has rarely disappointed with a Zelda game. :)
Does it really ruin it? There are plenty of other stories out there where the 'spirt' of a character is reincarnated as the opposite sex.
Avatar for example, Aang was reborn as a Korra.
It will be interesting to see what they do. There was A LOT of talk around the gender of Link in this game after the first trailer was released.
Voice acting in Zelda is LONG overdue. Watching the characters just mouth silently in Twilight Princess hurts.
Also female link sounds awesome. The Zelda 'Timeline' cycle is boring. Same protagonist and enemy in almost every game.. It's time to shake things up.
Not Sony developed, nor is it a PS4 exclusive.
But I REALLY hope it gets PSVR support.. Seriously! Make that happen! I'll freak out.
I would be totally for this, as long as all the games work across all console models.
And I agree with some of the posts here. I am primarily a console gamer and a absolutely do not like playing in suboptimal framerates and resolutions.
I'm all for more choice. The Witcher 3 in 60fps on console? Yes freaking please.
Obviously this is all speculation.. But in the interview Phil was talking about hardware upgrades within a generation.
This would imply that any games in this generation would work on all the hypothetical consoles.
So you can play Destiny 2 on Xbox One.. But it will play better on Xbox One++
Again all speculation, but I would be all for more choice when it comes to console horsepower.
You could buy a 50 inch 4K TV for the same price. Crazy!
This is interesting. Why not do incremental hardware updates and keep ALL your games rather than totally new systems?
I can dig it. I would totally buy a new system to play Halo 5 in 4k.
JonTron will be all over this...
The sad truth is.. A lot of people are going to buy that $80 version just to get the remake. Activision knows that.
So.. I mean it is devious, but not a mistake if it sells and lets be honest.. It's going to sell.
