Your game publishers were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Dont play with my heart like this Capcom....

Sony does not upload their new games to PlayStation Now, and currently costs twice as much as GamePass at $20 a month.

So PlayStation now is similar sure, but unless you are very patient, you still have to pay full price for new 1st party PlayStation games at launch..

Would be awesome if they did day and date launch with new titles. I’d pay for Now in a heartbeat if that happens.

Sony is the only player not bothering to show up, everyone else is here with a lot to show. Who else are you talking about? I mean Google even had a press conference this year.

1931d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Nintendo, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Square, PC gaming show.. All have conferences this year.

All the usual suspects are there, Sony is the only one to step away this year. Microsoft is not the only one there. Gaming is bigger than just Sony and Microsoft you know.

You can't win a race if you don't show up. Also.. You know there's many other conferences at E3 right? Ubisoft, Square, Bethesda and Nintendo all have events lined up.

Sony not showing up at all is a loss for Sony and their fanbase. You're not getting any new info on upcoming games, hardware, or anything. That's dissapointing.

Sure, but what do they have coming in 2019? They may be positioning for a killer PS5 launch next year, but this year is genuinly looking shockingly dry for Sony compared to recent years. They really may not have had much to show.

It’s activision all you need to do is wait for the other shoe to drop.

I agree, if cross play can’t happen for certain titles it would be nice if cross save at least as possible so I can jump on whatever platform my friends are in and keep progressing.

ESO has had loot boxes for a few years now. They do seasonal loot creates that contain unique cosmetics, potions, food, and other items. They can even drop EXP boosts for your character or mount. It’s not.. really pay to win I suppose but it skirts that line

I’m actually surprised ESO has avoided some of the loot create controversy, it’s super there.

No timers in opening loot though, that’s the mobile game Blades you’re thinking of.

Whoa I very much disagree about your comment on ESO not being diminished by no cross play.

Have you every tried using matchmaking in that game? Or waited in a public dungeon for someone to show up? It can talk up to an hour depending on the content you’re chasing. The experience could be considerably improved if matchmaking could pull from all available players rather than segmenting them into three groups.

All I care about from Bethesda this year is Doom. And it’s going to be in the show. So in my book it’ll be a good year.

Would be nice to see a peak at Star Field though, it’s been in development forever.

The overall outrage over Epic is getting out of hand. Did anyone state that AMD sponsoring the PC gaming show was a conflict of interest? "What about NVidia users??"

When you attack literally every little thing they do, it trivializes the main concerns with Epic. Making it seem like gamers just dislike that they have to use another launcher outside of Steam and are looking for more interesting excuses to justify that stance.

mhmm. Sure Nintendo. I believe you.

Wasn't there a report that stated the game was playable from beginning to end? Or at least close to it? I think it's more likely this is a 2020 title..

However.. Considering the years of dev time they had on this before announce.. It's plausible that it's this year.

Regarding NMS: "The problem was players' expectations were so far beyond that. They imagined all this extra stuff."

Don't blame the fans for that, in numerous interviews Sean promised content and features that were not in the final product. It's great how much that game has improved, but they were wrong to lie about the final product plain and simple.

as for Chris Roberts.. He should finish his game before passing judgement. Having p...

The ending of the first one reveals Jade's past, that she is actually Shauni, it's implied that she was evil and Pey'j kept this from her and may know why she doesn't recall her past or true self.

In short. There's a lot that happened prior to Beyond Good and Evil 1 that we do not know about. A prequel makes a lot of sense. There is a lot of story potentail here, the setting makes perfect sense considering literally everything we learned from the end of ...

I paid for this game. Instead of downloading.. You know.. a game. I downloaded a 'core fighters addition' with 30-40 DLC installations. It was insane I thought my Xbox would never stop with installation notifications.

That's no way to release a game. The whole thing was broken into separate packages.. Every Fighter, costume, Story mode.. All of it separate installs. I get they have some kind of F2P thing going on here, but I'm just not about that.

No. 3rd party games don't just appear on consoles, they have to be produced, tested and published. Deals are made, dev kits sent out.. its a whole thing. Microsoft has partnerships with EA, Ubisoft, Capcom.. so on just like Sony does.

So no. Not exclusives. Google has to start from square one and convince third parties to invest time and money into releasing their games on Google's new platform.

1989d ago 2 agree4 disagreeView comment

Content is different from exclusives. Look at how many games are on Xbox period, it's a lot about 980 at the moment. Microsoft already has partnerships in place with Capcom, Ubisoft, EA, Activision.. so on.. Google has to build all of that from scratch. That's the point they were making. It's not easy to convince a third party to test, produce, and release their games on a new platform.
