Really? The Gamepad is the main gimmick of the Wiiu. I could understand if the game pad was a piece of crap like the Kinect, but the game pad WORKS! Off screen play is great and the games that do use the touch screen use it right...sometimes. For Mario Kart 8...the map is ONLY on the gamepad and not on the screen. This gets annoying REAL quick. Map screens on the gamepad works for games like Zelda or Monster hunter, but for a racing game where you have to keep your eyes on the road? NOPE! The...
Oh man! How would I ever get through this years without COD and Fifa on the wii-u? I mean, it's not like I bought a Wii-u to play Nintendo games or anything. NOPE! <---BEING SARCASTIC
A lot of the games mentioned in the article, I'm personally not drawn to at all. Most of those games are hitting PC too, so even if I liked those games I could just get it on PC. ESPECIALLY THE EVIL WITHIN! Holy crap I can just imagine the amount of Resident Evil mods that game will g...
If Lucina plays like Melee Roy (and have some of the same animations) Then I'd be more okay with it. Though I kinda wish her sword had some sort of special visual flare to it. NEVER PLAYED FE:3ds! but she kinda needs at least some new animations to make her at least seem more different. Cause so far she just seems more like costume/skin material than a separate character since she is suppose to pose as Marth in the game (from what I gather).
I might play as her since I ki...
Capcom is the one confusing people with their wacky business decisions and practices. Remember their infamous Disc locked content stuff to them moving over to mobile? They knew people wanted certain things but they ignore fans. ESPECIALLY megaman fans. Fans, even casual megaman fans, begged Capcom for a megaman game for years and they respond by...releasing a pretty good Strider game! Everything they did do to show off megaman has been costumes and stupid stuff like box art megaman, all which...
This game's concept is pretty cool, though I'm iffy on the RPG-maker look. Kinda reminds me of Bob's game, except this one seems to have a much better story and flow.
Now THIS is something interesting. I'll definitely get this!
While I do support diversity in games, may it be sex or race, I don't want it to be forced. When people are FORCED into doing something, it usually doesn't go so well. Let's say Asscreed changed one of the characters to a female, but still moved like a man...would that shut people up? Nope! It's kinda too late to make a viable female character for that game at this point.
Good interview over all, glad to hear that they want to make what they want to make as well as insight on the accelerator program. It's true that indie games are coming from every which place and pretty much flooding the space with games. There are way more games coming out in this decade than the last, that's for sure.
Too many games! So little time!
Good interview, but the more I read about this game, the less interesting it becomes. It's a unique idea don't get me wrong, but it's not a game I'd play.
This is something strange, though I kinda wish it looked like Pheonix Wright or something to be more visually appealing. Place your picture in on 3d bodies or something.
Interesting concept, probably won't actually play it sadly.
I guess? Personally, my favorite PS1 RPG from square was Xenogears. I used to think FF7 was the best on ps1...untill I played through Xenogears (think it came out a year after FF7?). The story, battle system, and world were all just very interesting. Plus, who doesn't like jumping into a mech and stomping on monsters?
Square needs to get on that FF7 HD remake. But then again I don't think Square likes money anymore. Fans be begging for an FF7 remake, but NOPE! Instea...
He never beat the last of us and only watch the ending part of the game. Games =/= movies, playing is a very different experience than watching it. When you play, there's tension and immersion. I can understand and respect gaming preferences, but if you're an "official" on a gaming site admitting to never beating the game will make you look bad. You're immediately discrediting yourself the moment you put that info out there. He could've just said he thought the gamep...
Aren't characters saved server side? Meaning that this whole transfer characters thing is kinda...stupid. Stupid as in it's a feature that's common place in a bunch of MMOs. I can log into my character in mmos on my friends computer with no problems despite his being 10x better than mine. I don't really expect the whole gta online character thing to be too complicated to move around. It should be the same as MMOs these days.
The Wii-u is special and a lot of big devs don't want to put money into making special Wii-u games. Most games that they want to port to the wii-u from the ps4 would have to be downgraded, which isn't very easy. Then they have to do something with the gamepad in some way, which means going into the code and tinkering with it. Over-all, it's a hassle. Finally, sales. Games like Bf, COD, and madden all sell way better on Sony/M$. porting from xbox to Playstation is easy since they...
Please just make it like NFS: Underground -> Carbon. I'm sick of of the whole Burn out crap. NFS: The Run was good, but the only reason I disliked it a lot was because I couldn't use any car in any race. You do unlock cars...for multiplayer only!!!!!!
Just give us the freedom to use any car in any race, customize and tune the car, START FROM THE GROUND UP (meaning you start with a crappy car and progress to get better cars), Bring back drifting like in Carbon, have...
It's been happening with DLC!
Capcom's shady business practices with their games, Selling the REAL ending to Asura's Wrath for example. Dead Space 3 with it's material stuff...A dark future is ahead...
Why do gamers hate games?
Because Gamers aren't all the same. People like different things, expect different, and experience different things in games. Not everyone's going to like a game and criticism IS GOOD (if it's explained)!
I'm speaking in a general sense about all this, but sometimes people just won't like something. If a person doesn't like the taste of ketchup and you do, can't you just accept their reason being that th...
How a game entertains a person is dependent on the gamer themselves. For example, I found FF14:ARR to be sleep inducing and dull, but several others love the game. I liked Metal Gear Rising, but others don't like it because it's not "realistic" or too over the top for them to like.
I find a lot of western games boring. Asscreed 1 and Mass effect 1 boring and Halo puts me to sleep. I haven't liked any of the new Need for Speed games ever since it turned ...
I never made any comparisons to FF11 because I never played that game, but I did play WoW, Flyff, Perfect World, DOMO, and several others that had similar battle systems. Most of my problems with FF14 was the dull gameplay and the fee. It's preference. I prefer and active battle system where I actually have to put effort into dodging and attacking, something like Vindictus or Tera. FF14 does get harder near level 40~50, but that's too late for the challenge to start, IMO. Time is some...

Never meant it in a bad way. Those examples you gave are all accessories and aren't needed to make the console work. Even when the Xbone was forcing the Kinect onto people, you just really needed the controller to set things up, I'm sure you weren't force to navigate everything with the kinect only.
The gamepad just gives people a new way to play...
