Their marketing department budget is already set. It isn't included in the production costs.
@quantum
It's literally called Hollywood Accounting when movie studios do it.
So, you believe that goken and I are wrong, and Return of the Jedi never turned a profit.
It happens all the time.
(Continue...I was in the Lincoln Tunnel)
Budgeting isn't included in the total cost because it is a separate budget. These companies intentionally inflate the numbers so they pay less in taxes.
This is not a new trend. And if you give your CEO $30 million per year and a game takes 5 years, you just add that $150million to the budget (CNN).
"Or was it i̶n̶f̶o̶r̶m̶e̶d̶ guesswork from analysts?"
Video game budgets will always be fictional, just like Hollywood movies. Unless there are receipts it's all speculation.
And Take Two has a marketing department with an already approved budget (just like studios in Hollywood).
The trailer including gameplay was 4k 30fps on a base PS5. The base PS5 can do 1440p which would mean a jump in FPS. It also supports 120Hz refresh rate at 1440.
So based on what the console can do, it makes no sense to be at that low resolution with that low fps.
The Dreamcast was the biggest gamble and way ahead of its time.
On time to what?
It will be released on time: when it is done.
DF isn't what they used to be.
Of course it did. Who says it didn't?
Killzone 2 says hi.
Initial trailer "omg, no way that's real!"
Game: looks even better.
Source: your ass
Because for the PC Master Race, everything is supposedly better on their platform, and even it's not, it's the console manufacturer's fault.
It's all an either/or competition for them. The concept of owning both a PC and console and playing on both is anathema to their very existence.
It's very odd behavior.
You're forgetting to make "year" plural.
How's all those other console games that never came to PC?
Lol
Company sells product, makes money.
Most of the people here don't understand non disclosure agreements.
This game was under $50.
What are you talking about?
And do you know that they're early access was before these articles? Very high. Most people are waiting for more content.
Same. I'm still on Unicorn Overlord. I might save this for summer, when I can play all night and really dive deep.
@Quantim
"It's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it."
You're doubling down and we are just trying to get you to understand.
Of course it's legal, their politicians made it so.
