I get what you're saying about the grind but the idea that they only add it to prevent people from trading it in is a little dumb. What do they care if they've already made the sale? The grind and bullet spongey enemies etc. are just ubisoft's foruma that they keep repeating over and over.
No matter what flaws this has Evolve was much, much worse. That was one of the worst of all time, and the microtransactions brought it down even further. As a follow up to left 4 dead it was a disgrace

The story in gears 4 was easily the worst in the entire series and the new characters were terrible, all they did was make bad jokes. What "humanity" is this article referring to? The writing was awful and the story was completely forgettable. Even the new enemies they added were just generic robots. Gears 5 still isn't as good as the first 3 but at least it was much better than gears 4. They need to ditch the new characters though.
Evolve was garbage, even though this new predator game is rough around the edges it is still much better than evolve.
So scummy and greedy that Nintendo doesn't allow its first party games to be part of sales like this at amazon or target. Mario odyssey came out in 2017 and is still $50. Try finding a launch title from ps4 or xbox for $50. Insane.
Can't believe they brought back online multiplayer! If only they would do that with more classics.
It's definitely average and the character designs are awful but the joke is that if it were a ps4 exlcusive instead of xbox it would be much more well received on n4g and people would be defending it rabidly.
They really should have just kept the classic deathmatch instead.

The new doom games are fun but they are arcadey, cartoony and not scary at all. The enemies are colorful and not intimidating and they did nothing memorable with the lighting or the enviornments. The platforming in Eternal is completely unnecessary. Lastly the story in both of the new doom games is garbage, following orders from a random robot.

There's a reason you're in the minority. DmC was not a true Devil May cry game just a solid action game with great graphics and a terrible story. Also Dante's design was a joke and the way they disrespected the fans has not been forgotten.

Some of the worst character designs of all time. Sorry to say but if women are trying to be taken seriously in the industry as game directors this is not the way to do it. Same thing in the film industry with Birds of Prey. Make better content
