LOL That's hilarious!

I'm more interested in HDR technology for gaming than higher resolution. High Dynamic Range produces nominally better color depth and reproduction and enhances the image without the "high gpu cost". I think it's just a flat-out more economical option to the average consumer.

Her eyes appear less asian in 2016. Conclusion: EA is racist.

Yeah. But it could also warrant a price drop on the standard PS4 which could make the PSVR/PS4 combo even more affordable for consumers. All speculation of course.

People are freaking out again over nothing!. Mark my words. It's a 4k bluray player version of the PS4(HDCP 2.2 protocol, HDMI 2.0, HDR capable) Your PS4 is not gonna become obsolete when it launches.

It's not gonna be able to play games in native 4k. That would mean it would need to be at least 4x as powerful as the current system. We are not there yet, technology wise.

This is just Sony's strategy for pushing 4k TV adoption rates.

All I need now is one of those 900p TVs.

A few things. Even the unmodded DS1 performed better on pc, locked 30fps/720p and all. The DSFIX mod increased the game's framerate to a locked 60 and allowed for higher resolutions. My four 4 year old pc ran the game wonderfully in 1440p@60fps.

The console versions(XB1/PS4) of DS2:SoTFS had the "weapon degradation/framerate bug" as well because they didn't code the game with 60fps in mind originally.

DS3 will run in 4k@30fps with high/mid-...

Ouch. Enjoy that "cinematic" experience. ;)

I'm glad they are really nailing it home to devs. FPS drops in VR aren't just annoying. They are guaranteed to make people sick and nauseous. Sony could lose $millions if the public rejects VR due to crappy unoptimized shovelware.

Agreed. Too many IP's to maintain and the quality of the product may start to suffer.

The Witcher 3....the Mona Lisa of gaming.

Prerequisites for PC gaming:
1. Dissatisfaction (with console mediocrity)
2. Desire (for an ideal gaming experience)
2. Up-front capital ($$)
3. Intelligence (trouble shooting, investing into informing yourself about the ins and outs of hardware trends/compatibility)
4. Patience (PC isn't the best platform for "day one gamers" historically)

I'll pick this game up on Steam if the developers finally get around to giving us the option to turn off the Chromatic Aberration that plagues DL so badly.

Valve is bigger than E3 at this point to care.

They are 2k(1440p) screen shots, not 5k FYI unless they are using Nvidia DSR. Source: My 1440p monitor fits the blown-up screengrabs perfectly.

Yeah. Just because it's cheaper doesn't automatically = better investment. You can use a PC to actually make a living. I don't see people using a console to make money or get ahead.

The most Valve should have done was implement some kind of donation/patron system. Modders do put alot of work into what they create and should get some kind of kick back. The whole 75/25% system is ludicrous and only harms Valves image. They better watch out in the coming years when M$ opens up their own storefront on windows 10..

I'll wait and see the V-Ram usage of GTA5 before I'll decide on an upgrade. I'm guessing it'll surpass 4gb so I may wait until the 980ti releases..

Ok you bring up some good points..and im glad they ditched the led screen and went with a low persistence OLED.
now let me address your inaccuracies.
I never said anyone was bringing 4k vr to market yet, only that a single 1080p panel is not good enough for a convincing VR experience. I own an Oculus Rift DK2 which uses a 1080p OLED that Morpheous has. I can tell you first hand it's not consumer grade. Meanwhile the Vive sports two 1080x1200 OLED panels in portrait runnin...

The light bar tracking tech is too slow and already obsolete. They are still trying to push ps move controllers along with Morpheous. The 1080p panel is too low resolution-wise for decent vr. Still no good apps and games announced. Ps4 doesn't deliver high enough fps for vr. I forsee this being a disaster on arrival. It's no where near the caliber of the HTC Vive.
