Some of the "actual tasks" you do in side-quests may not be that different than other open-world RPG's.
but what sets it apart is the characters and the dialogue and the story behind the quest.. the animations in the lips, cheeks, eyes. the atmosphere of the conversation that you're engaging in with the NPC
that's the difference. I dunno about you or the rest of the people that play the game. But I can damn near sense or feel the emo...
I absolutely love Aloy and am glad to see that others also seem to really enjoy her character. I think she can easily become an iconic female character.

HZD is a BRAND NEW IP created by a developer that has absolutely no HISTORY making RPG games... Guerrilla has only ever done FPS games...
And this brand new IP comes out the same exact week as the next game in the LEGENDARY video game franchise Legend of Zelda...
The fact that a BRAND NEW IP was able to become the PS4's biggest selling franchise in the same exact week as the new Zeld...
nice definitely looking forward to check out PS4 Pro Boost mode and the custom themes. I probably won't be getting an external HDD anytime soon. Been spending too much money lately and need to tone it back a bit. I'll probably get the external HDD sometime this summer or fall.

They just released update/patch version 1.03. I literally installed it like 2 hours ago.
Something tells me they are going to be tremendous in post launch support just like CD Projekt Red was for TW3. Other open world RPG developers could really learn a thing or two from these type of companies.

Horizon: Zero Dawn patch 1.03 is available for download... fixes crash and progression issues according to the notes.
I can already sense incredible post launch support just like CD Projekt Red had for TW3.. All other developers that make open world RPGS could learn a thing or two from Guerrilla Games and CD Projekt Red about dedication and passion for their games after they release, not just the pay check and vacation that comes when a game launches.

It's like 15" tall and 15.6" long from nose to tall.. It's going to pair so nicely with the Aloy statue from the CE... I can't freaking wait! So excited! ...

As I sit and write this I'm currently 9 hours and 14 minutes time played at level 13.
I'm passed the first area and slowly uncovering the fog on the map in the areas I haven't been. I don't know how far in terms of story or whatever I am. Can't really think of a way to explain my progression without spoiling something.

I dunno I thought Far Cry: Primal was pretty good. That was the last Ubisoft game that I really really enjoyed playing.
But that could of just been because it ditched the guns and stuff for more primitive weapons.
I think it's under the extra settings tab on the main menu if I remember correctly.
I didn't see it at first under the options so I installed the game and watched the movie.. then once it got to the main menu I closed the game and deleted the profile/save data and started the game again hahahaha. before I actually started and clicked new game for the very first time.
The beta reminded me of a slew of games.. It had a strong MGS V type of feel with the obvious co-op added.. It feels like Farcry/Just cause in terms of landscapes and map stuff.
