I own a switch and I haven't played anything on it in the past 6 months apart from re-runs for Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Rabbids. Both are amazingly fun but proclaiming you've won 2018 when you haven't literally released any major new titles which includes 3rd party releases is a joke.
I like the switch but it has been accumulating dust for the last 5-6 months and will do the same until Smash releases

The question needs to be asked why is investment going into crappy arcade games that hardly anyone will play as opposed to bolstering their existing paltry lineup
Game Pass trial is still free for 14 days. Can use the same argument and say people might just be playing it for free and the numbers will drop off like Sea of Thieves once that expires.
@chiefJohn... I place my thumbs on the stick cause I have to control the camera using it and it feels natural. In fact, having the left stick offset will mean I need to stretch my thumb from the natural position it wants to land in which causes fatigue if I want to always keep my left thumb on the stick. 95% of the games, you'll have your left thumb on the stick cause you need to control the camera. Your argument is subjective and moot (Also what you've written makes very little sense...
There is nothing natural about having your thumbs offset. Yes, using something for a while will make your body adapt to it, but for me, the PS4 controller feels more natural due to the symmetric layout. There is nothing wrong or right in this. Just preference
Look at metacritic. Literally all the top scores are from sites/magazines with xbox or 360 in the name. All major outlets are 70-80 for the most part. Kinda pathetic to see the damage control from the publications
This is the inherent problem with the whole gamepass ideology. When you're giving a game for 10bucks/month, no way that game can be the quality of something similar to what Sony or Nintendo pushes out.
Honestly, MS should take a hard look at themselves and revisit their exclusive strategy. Even after that, I think it is too little too late.
Please no. Killzone was a good series but I feel it peaked at KillZone 2. I'm tired of FPS games overall so Horizon ZD is a much better and fresh direction overall.

Witcher 3 was a great game, but GOW has much better combat and that for me tips the scale as I had more fun with it.

In the gaming context it means that there are no jarring cuts between gameplay and cutscene. Also no load screens. I can literally play GOW for 40 hours without a load screen.

I don't get the disagrees. Witcher 3 was a great package, but the combat has nothing on something like God of War. In fact, it feels like a drag now when I go back to it and try to play it because of the combat not being as fluid as GOW or Horizon.
Witcher 3 is in my top 3 but GOW tops that list for me. My overall list is as follows: GOW, Witcher 3 and HZD/BloodBourne this generation.
I played it with the classic controls in the first run. Works fine.
There are combos in the game. It has the same system as the other GOW where light and heavy attacks can be chained together. In fact most of the unlocks unlock different combos. If you're referring to the hits meter, then yeah that is missing but the hits meter in the previous one wasn't even used to full potential. At least here if you have hits without taking one, it charges your weapon dealing more damage. There just isn't a hits counter which doesn't fit in the mature take...
Honestly, GOW 2 & 3 had great set pieces but as an overall package the new GOW trumps it in aspects like character depth, combat (it has so much more depth and no more a button smasher), content (game is > 30 hour long vs 8-9 hour), story etc. People who say GOW 2/3 combat was better haven't played this one to its full potential. There is so much depth here which wasn't present back then like a lot of RPG elements including defensive strategies, Arteus etc

At this point, I don't care what the score ends up being. The game is already lauded as one of the games of this generation. This is the current gen's Last of Us where every major outlet has thrown a 10/10. For a game that completely changed its roots, this is an amazing feat.
Not to mention reviews are getting more and more strict this gen compared to last as many outlets are adopting a 1-5 point scale which means 4s get translated to 8s

By no measure is Ninja Theory a AAA studio. Yeah HellBlade was decent but it still lacked compared to the quality you see from legit AAA studios. You can't put them with the likes of Naughty Dog or Santa Monica or even someone like Crystal Dynamics. Playground was a good buy I'd give you that. Undead Labs a semi AAA studio LMAO!! I wouldn't even call then a AA studio until they post a game that scores above an 80 on metacritics.
