After the let downs of Fallout3 and New Vegas, you should have known you were in for a failure with Skyrim on the PS3. This is why I bought the 360 version.
XIII was such a let down to me overall that I just cannot revisit this group of characters or story. Square-Enix is trying to hard to make up for the long list of mistakes they caused by doing this to the genre. I simply will not purchase the game and continue to avoid buying from this once great company (well two if count some of the gems Enix created years ago).
Yet again, Timesplitters is left off a FPS list. How can this be? The Timesplitters games offered tons of variety, smooth gameplay and a level editor! Shame Free-Radical killed themselves with that POS Haze. EA needs to re-visit this franchise now that they own it.
I agree with what 'theeg' is saying despite his/her horrible grammar. The PS3 was poorly developed and is really behind the 8-ball.
This is only going to hurt Sony. They lost a year with the 360 release, and with it's high price tag and lack luster developed titles. It made itself second fiddle to the 360. They will only continue to fall if they don't fix past mistakes and get ahead of the curve.
It's time for a new set of consoles. The days of 720p up-scaled to 1080p are over with in my mind. Games are looking jagged and haggered.
I can't penalize them for trying something new, however don't forget to include the bread and butter as well :-)

It will end up being a quick cash in by Square-ENIX. As it is it takes them too long to work on games, this XIII-2 is only a band-aid to try to fix the lameness of XIII.
Game was a huge let down as far as depth of the story went. It was so bland and generic. The lack of a simple Deathmatch or even Team Deathmatch was the biggest let down. How could ID have forgotten it? A buggy bump and crash mode.... really? What a joke.
I am happy with Star Wars. I hope it lives long and prosper :-)
Killzone 3 was a total joke, along with SOCOM4 and Resistance 3. All of them were the big let downs of the year. The 3DS launch lineup was a bigger let down. And with all of the shortcomings of Homefront, it's heart was in the right place and really could have been a bigger and better game. However for what it was, it was good. Hopefully THQ can re-visit this IP and give it a better coat of paint and expanded story for SP and better MP design.

Sony has had the worse marketing for games over the past few years. Microsoft has money to burn to promote and push things. M$ wanted to become number 1 and they did. Sony has been left sitting in the dust due to them thinking they would always be the best.
Oh boy another Ridge Racer. At least this time no one is really buying it so that will put Namco in their place.
