It's quite hilarious though. PS3 outsold 360 despite releasing 1 year later (15 months later in EU). Now the PS4 is out, they have no chance lol.

Even if the PS4 was priced HIGHER than the Xbox One, it would still outsell it. Microsoft are really, really desperate to reclaim/maintain their strongholds in the UK and US. Without those markets, they practically have nothing.
Guess they need to go gung-ho in the US and UK though. But lol, they are NOT happy with the X1's sales right now lol.
Sony doesn't need to do jack shit, all they can feasibly do is keep trying to get more systems into wareho...
I think the Sony PS4 launch should be used as a case study in all U.S and U.K schools about how to market the fuck out of a product. Absolute goldmine, I'll remember this forever/try to use similar techniques for my business in the future.

The PS4 is selling on hype alone which is the ideal situation for Sony to be in, they don't need to put in much effort in other areas.. the moment the hype dies down, they have Driveclub, Infamous etc to release during the spring/summer months but there aren't many titles that Japanese gamers are really hungry for that are out atm.
So what are people paying $60 for at the end of the day then? 3 years later, you can't even play it anymore. lul.

I think everyone knows that Japan is no longer the household gaming stronghold that it once was back in 2004. They can only blame themselves really, developers took way too long to get to grips with coding and releasing HD Content.

It really does sound like the PS4 will be the last traditional console in the industry - then again, Broadband connections across the world are still really poor on average.. only places like the US and China/Japan will do handsomely well with this.
Looking forward to seeing it rollout in the EU come 2015.
