I'll be completely honest, I cringed and scrambled to grab the remote and mute the TV every time that song started playing in the commercial.
To each their own though, we can't help what music we do and do not enjoy. I primarily listen to death metal and black metal, that's definitely not everyone's cup of tea and that's perfectly acceptable.

As much as I have enjoyed Carpenter's films, I don't think a movie version of Dead Space could work. You can't properly condense the brutal feelings of hopelessness, tension, and desperation from that first game into a 90 minute - 2 hour movie.
I'd rather have no live action Dead Space film than wind up cringing every couple years when the commercials for the abominable sequels continue to roll out, a la Resident Evil.

I really miss Star Wars shooters. I remember having so much fun years ago in Battlefront 1 and 2 and Republic Commando.

There were some great views on Tau Volantis in Dead Space 3.

Should we judge a game based upon its ending? Honestly, it depends on the game. In the case of Mass Effect 3, I say yes.
If you were to jump into Mass Effect 3 without having played the previous two games in the trilogy, I'll bet it would be for you a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish, although you probably would still have a few small complaints about the ending. Overall, I think you would walk away heavily satisfied with the time you spent in the game.

I'm not sure if I'm more amused by this or by how Black Ops II on PC accidentally came with disc 2 of Mass Effect 2.

The original game's loot gave me much more of a sense of reward. I could get online and invite a couple friends to my game and we knew that by the time we were done playing for the day we would have found at least one weapon/shield superior to the one which we were using when we started. That kept us going back to Borderlands long after the final DLC was released.
In Borderlands 2, we went days without finding an item that was substantially better than one we currently had equipp...

Freedom of speech/expression must include the right to offend. If anyone chooses to believe in something for which there exists absolutely no evidence to support it, that's one thing, but they can't keep playing the "offended" card each time someone challenges them.
Religion within games as a plot device is fine, portrayal of religions in games such as Halo (Covenant religion) and Dead Space (Unitology) accurately shows how horrible acts can (and have throughout the ...

I think the problem is that when people think of him they automatically think Bourne, and while those are fun action films, they aren't prime examples of his best acting.

I read the first few paragraphs but stopped once I realized everything the author had to complain about was attributed to lag rather than the actual game mechanics themselves. The servers have been running perfectly smoothly the past 3 days that I've been playing. They were laggy for a couple days after launch, and it seems like this person is writing their review after playing only in that timeframe.

I love halo and have played since the first installment in the franchise, but we shouldn't give it this much credit. I think it's important to remember that Halo did not invent space stations, the word "Elysium," and exoskeletons. These wonderful things had been a part of science fiction franchises long before the arrival of Halo.

I'm hoping that Bungie will keep a watchful eye and take notes on what Defiance does well and not so well, I believe this would further shape Destiny into a great game.

The voice actor is better... at what? Golf? Tic Tac Toe? Parcheesi? You play as FemShep because you prefer the actor's voice. Meer and Hale are both talented voice actors and picking a favorite is based solely upon opinion, saying one is better than the other is unreasonable.

It's true hypocrisy to find fault with violence and or sexuality in video games or any other media and to not take issue with these things even slightly any of the many times that they appear in the Christian Bible.
As Richard Dawkins has written, "The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, ra...

2/10 is a bit low. I agree the price is steep, but it is decent content. There should have been much more of it, especially for $10, but what's there isn't bad enough to warrant a 2/10.

Those are all very small differences, nothing drastically deviates from destroy, synthesize, control, and refuse. An actual quote from the developers:
“This story arc is coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At this point we’re taking into
account so many decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game
endings, where you can say how many endings...

No franchise "needs to die." Many could use some innovation and refreshing ideas, some could even use a hiatus to get things primed for their next installment, but to say any franchise simply "needs to die" is ridiculous defeatism.
Think of your favorite franchise that you've played for years and have many fond memories of as a ship. If your ship starts taking on water, are you fine with letting it sink, or would you like to see renovations made and then set s...

They are art to an extent, the same extent to which any human construct can be referred to as art. I've seen an elephant paint a picture using its trunk, so maybe I shouldn't have said just "human" constructs. There is always a great deal of art within a video game, but sometimes a game definitely feels less like art and more of a product, marketed to the consumer with precision. Still art, yes, but a product nonetheless.
And when Bioware refused to alter the ending...
