If they force people to pay a higher monthly fee, then I would think fewer people would buy in on the new subscription.
I think Game Pass is a great value, but I don't need to play that many games, nor do I have the time to play all of those games. I'm also very picky about my digital games library and what shows up in my Acheivements.
No point in removing the 12 month subscription, if unless the reason is so that they don't piss people off by having them purchase 12 months of gold, only to find out in September or October that the service will be free after November.
The Xbox One controller has had updatable firmware since it launched in 2013, so nothing new here. You can even remap the buttons on the Xbox One controller in the system settings menu.
Xbox is looking like the best place to play, by far. With the rumors of free online play, Game Pass, the most powerful console on the market, and the ability to play my games on PC, Smart Phone or Console, makes it the most flexible and cost effective way to play, particularly with Xbox Game Studios 1st party games and all 3rd party games. It's a no brainer.
Not to mention that I can continue to use my Xbox One controllers for ALL games on the Series X, and the largest...
I enjoy E3, and I find that it's a time of year that I always get excited for. Hopefully it does come back, and hopefully it comes back in the way that it used to, with just the media and industry figures. I found the quality of the shows to be much higher before they started letting the general public in.
Microsoft wants to get as many boxes into people's homes as possible, and making online free, is the best way to do that. Once people buy the hardware, they'll most likely sign up for Game Pass, or perhaps they will buy an extra game if they save the money that they would have otherwise paid for Live Gold.
When people save money on one thing, they'll spend it on something else, and that could possibly include an extra controller or something too. To make matters...
If you're on another platform, do not support this game. Nothing worse than playing a game with content being held back based on your platform of choice.
Socom Confrontation please. Why the hell can't Sony do this???
Sony love you long time...likey likey
Thats pretty cool, and it's something that their direct competitor doesn't have. Maybe if they revive Killzone, Sony could operate in that space, but for now, Halo is on it's own, and its a breath of fresh air from the yearly CoD games and Battlefielt games, not to mention the Apex and Fortnite nonsense.
Good to know, thanks.
Why is it so hard for Ubisoft to make another Splinter Cell game? Enough with cameo apperances and nonsense like animated series.
You must be crazy :P
Well, that settles it. Gabe has spoken.
Just like Sony paid Epic to praise the PS5, with their $250 Million investment.
I'm glad that this game continues after the events of Halo 5. I was worried that it was going to be a complete reboot, where they would have abandoned the existing storyline.
A very nasty post.
The Sess needs to return also.
The harsh responses are way over the top. Sony hasn't showed anything that topples what Microsoft is offering. I'm also sure that many of Sony's games which were shown at their event, will take years to develop, which is something that Microsoft is being criticized for. I can't figure out why people are so brainwashed, that they need to keep pushing these narratives.
We'll just have to wait and see. Fun speculation for the mean time.
