Did you get it from Japan (off of PlayAsia I assume)? How much did you pay?
It should be released on the PSN Thursday evening sometime with the weekly update. Once again, the eternal quandary of "which version" rears its ugly head...
The car handling was worse, the lighting was worse, and they split gameplay up between what was awesome about the original Driver (uh, driving) and some crappy TPS-ing. Driver has always been one of my favorite PS1 games; Driver 2 has always been one of the biggest disappointments.
Are you a commenter funded by Nintendo? If you think the Wii has more variety, that's just not true. Here's what the Wii has: good games (a few) and trash games (LOADS). Oh, and if the fact that you can download 20 year old games on the Virtual Console is enough to lend "hardcore" credibility to a console, I must have missed the memo...
No More Heroes. And I, for one, really enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy. However, despite the scattered decent game here and there, I have only invested time with the machine at friends' places. I do not require one for myself. Besides, not that I would call myself a hardcore gamer, but it's pretty obvious Nintendo doesn't give a rats arse about heritage gamers in general, so why would you want to support their machine which seems to cater only to under-8 crowd??
...such as "wrap-up/break-out tackles, user controlled celebrations, etc." Those sound somewhat familiar from someone who has spent some time with All-Pro Football 2K8. However, it looks like Madden is finally going to take some real steps forward. This may be the first of the series I'll seriously consider since Madden 98 on my SNES.
I don't have a link, but I remember reading somewhere (IGN, probably) about how when you crash, you will get the crash camera, but your little dude will disappear from the shot.
I wish there was a way to turn people on... uh, well, you know what I mean...
I like Sigma on the PS3 a whole lot (still working my way through that one), and I've played all the way through NG2, with the occasional boss or two my buddy decided to beat on his own. The combat is a lot of fun, so as long as the "missions" are more than just a room full of respawning enemies, it could be worth some cash. I mean, come on, did you really care what was happening with the "story" in NG2 as you ran around hacking off limbs? No, me neither.
I ...
I guess that's where teamwork comes into play. I think there would have to be a chain of command where the general gives out orders which are trickled down through the officers and so on, so the players' awareness of the full scope of the battle plan would depend on their ranking. For example, only top tier officers would hear direct orders from the general. The grunts don't need to know the master plan, just what their role is. It could be an epic fail, but I think it's an experiment worth t...
...but the real question is, do we get online/splitscreen co-op play?
I don't like exclusive reviews any more than the next guy, but at least most of us know these scores must be taken with a grain of salt at this point. I'm excited for this game, and I'm not reading any reviews before I finish it.
I just like to look at the scores for giggles.
I don't see how this is any different than the many previous rumors to this same effect, except now there's actually a projected month of release.
Either way, I'm going to be picking up Bioshock at some point in the future. If the PS3 version remains unsubstantiated by the end of the summer, the 360 version will be mine.
Exclusive reviews released a month before the actual game is released is such a ludicrous concept. I have a subscription, so I guess I'll be reading it. Unfortunately, my mag arrives about two weeks after hitting the stands, so I probably won't even get it before MGS4 comes out anyway.
Whatever near perfect score MGS4 receives, my anticipation for the game will be completely unaffected.
What kind of retards can't see the mad increase in quality Blu-ray provides? Jesus...
Also, I agree with 1.1: prices must fall. And I'm talking the disk prices. I'm not paying upwards of $30 for a freaking movie. Give it up, guys. It's actually conceivable that people are claiming they can't tell Blu-ray apart from upconverted DVDs to make themselves feel better over not wanting to overpay for movies.
It was confirmed by Kotaku that there is no optional HDD install for the X360 version. If there are problems with loading, frame rate, etc. there's nothing Xbox gamers can do about it.
That being said, I own both consoles, and I'm going for the X360 version because of XBL. I may actually pick up the PS3 version at some point in the future to get the optimal SP experience, but XBL is just too sweet to pass up on (try it out, you'll see).
... the real question is "is one version better/worse than the other?"
Gamerevolver.com is obviously not the best source for this information (gaming site for Playstation products).
...completely forgot about that one. So I guess my options are:
a) buy map pack, play for one day -> abandon map pack for MGO beta -> abandon MGO beta for GTA IV
b) do not buy map pack
I could say buy map pack later, but it would have to be after I was done with GTA IV... and that could be, well, a while.
I won't get any further into that, but the question is: how do you know what version is sharper? You haven't played it! Either have I! Why does everyone feel the need to beat their chests about console superiority based on nothing but empty hopes?
UN.BE.LIEVABLE.
I think you completely missed my point. The dev's claim was the ability to achieve PS3-like graphics on the Wii. The problem with that is, the Wii outputs in a maximum resolution of 480p. Comparing that to Uncharted/UT3 running in 720p or GT5: Prologue running in 1080p is like comparing a magic marker drawing to a Pixar CGI animation.
My point being, it's not like 480p doesn't look good, but true-HD is on a whole other level which can't physically be touched by a Wii.

A cooperative story mode would be fantastic. I mean, the gameplay would easily support the design decision to throw something like that in there. However, a competitive multiplayer (deathmatch, CTF, etc.) would be out of character and unnecessary.
