I have to agree with your last statment it does make sense...I guess I was looking too deep into the matter...but what I hope is that SE sees that their efforts were meaningless... yes 160k is good but will they accomplish that goal next week and the week after like other said RPGs in Japan...
For clarification I was hoping that 360 console sales would eclipse past 50k for this game for the first week...looking at those 3 numbers and seeing that the competition was only 5k away...
maybe it is me...but can you really call that an accomplishment...they barely sold anything...that number is something the wii averaged in 2008 in japan...especially since the other consoles were only 5000 consoles away without a big game...
to advertise without putting money out...

that is a lie...I am not sure about Nintendo, but Sony has countless times ate humble pie and admitted MS success...but then they turn around and and shoot MS in the back...
now this is the first I heard MS admitting to the competition...I am just use to them shooting people out in the open...
the fiscal year is not complete yet...remember people this is just their Q1+Q2+Q3 numbers...Q$ is only a speculation until they release their numbers come april...
so based off of that...they superbly surpased last year numbers...
the sad thing about this is that both companies still have one more quater to go before they report their yearly numbers to the investors...so based on that
I expect MS to sell 1.5 - 2.5 mil consoles during that time frame and I expect sont to sell 2.5 - 3.5 mil consoles...

how much of the game they are cutting out to make it fit for the 360...how disk space is this game going to take up...is the total game between 30-40 gigs...

so getting additional funtions is a bad...since when...I understand it should have been out of the box, but is everything in windows and OSx out of the box...if that was the case we would not have system updates...
then why has SE made sh@t games for the 360 so far...

so what did halo 3 do in its first week??? because to me for 2 day release in NA and 4 day release in PAL regions these are good numbers...
btw...sony did not have to advertise because the News papers, Blogs and gaming site Articles did it for them...why waist money when somone else is doing your job for you...
