I still don't understand why some folks seem to get upset when someone else assigns a different value to a product or service and enjoys something they do not.
If Person A enjoys PS+ and thinks it is a good value, and Person B does not, then why would Person B get upset about Person A enjoying the service? It doesn't make sense to me.
You don't necessarily have to download it to continue to have access to it. You can "buy" it, cancel the download and re-download at a later time as long as you remain a PS+ member (even if it is no longer offered as part of the instant games collection).
@violents Free shipping =/= free two-day shipping. Often times my items from amazon prime get to me the evening of the first day. I didn't pay for the membership either, my wife did and I still get the benefits.
Don't tell the extreme couponing people. They do this stuff all the time, except they buy products by the dozen/case/crate when they do this. I did this with SF4 costume packs. Capcom released a few small packs of costumes and then one large pack later on. If someone had purcahsed even one of the smaller packs, then the large (complete) pack would not even show ...
Hmm I think I'd rather invest the purchase price of a next gen console in new PC hardware and then buy a cable to hook it up to my TV. Steam big picture mode really solves a lot of issues and makes the experience much more pleasant.
1) You don't give yourself nicknames, that right falls to those around you. Self made nicknames often come off as douchey.

I watch to learn. Exclusively fighting games, like SF4 or TTT2. I watch other people play because their actions and decisions are important down to the fraction of a second.
I like to observe the skill displayed and aim to recreate effective tactics in my own matches.
So is the idea to make XBL and always-on internet required and free, or will people still have to pay a sub for XBL and thus to play their new 720? Hard to justify a large payment for the hardware, then a mandatory sub for XBL to be able to use the hardware. Will XBL silver (free) still exist, but simply be a requirement?

I like to play offline when someone else in the house is downloading a big game or file. My wife plays offline when I'm online playing a fighting game, to help reduce and potential lag time.
It's not a huge deal for me, but I at least would like the option. Having to go endure a month without a functional console would be very sad if something happened to the XBL network and it was nonfunctional for an extended period (like PSN was).
