Not really. I don't have the time to play all the PS3 games I want as is, so having multiple platforms would drain me of more money than it's ultimately worth. I'm just into playing games of a franchise in order when possible.
I haven't played it yet, but I'm looking forward to it when it comes out on PS3. Though it does kind of bum me out that I won't get to play ME first.
I want to add that these comments are probably the closest to respectfully disagreeing I've seen on this site. Could the spirit of the season be touching the collective hearts of N4G? haha
Really enjoyed this article. Even if I'm not in 100% agreement with some of the choices (I liked Heavy Rain!), it was interesting and the writer's made some great points. Glad to see someone else shares my sentiment towards Rock Band.
Sadly, these are way out of my price range for a gaming accessory, but it sounds like they're worth it for the kind of quality you're getting. Seems like a great holiday gift for gamers.

You know, I have a PS3 and not a 360. I love it and am confident I made the right decision, given what I want from a console and the games I like to play. That being said, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Seems a lot of people didn't get the memo it's ok for others to like things you don't.
Yeah, this. People tend to forget that these things are cyclical and just PS3 has more exclusives this year doesn't mean 360 won't in 2012. I got a PS3 over XBox, but I don't get the PS3 owners on here who gloat that XBox has few non-Kinect exclusives slated for next year. 2011 is going to be the first year the majority of games I'm excited for aren't multi-platform.
Weird, I was JUST telling a friend of mine that I thought inFamous should have a line of comics the way Top Cow ran Tomb Raider comics for several years. The story is engrossing and Cole makes for an awesome protagonist because he's so easy to identify with as an everyman sort. inFamous 2 is one of the top games I'm looking forward to in 2011. Only Uncharted 3 and The Last Guardian even come close. Definitely going to be reading these.
I would love for something to come completely out of nowhere and shock everyone. Don't get me wrong, there's at least a dozen games that have been confirmed that I can't wait for, but I'd like to see something new and unexpected come in and be a contender for GOTY.

I would never say a game isn't worth checking out if it has something that appeals to you. That being said, a game that deals with off-roading isn't that appealing to me, regardless of how good it is. I'm sure it will be a fine game, but not one of my most anticipated for 2011.
Take out Motorstorm Apocalypse and bring inFamous 2 a little higher up the list, and I'm pretty much in complete agreement with you.
If you don't understand how dark themes are central to the Batman, you really don't understand anything about the character. The guy watched his parents get shot in front of his face when he was a little kid, and has had close friends killed and crippled by his arch-nemesis. Sweet, they got Mark Hamil to do the voice of Joker! I'm pretty sure I read somewhere Batman: AC is going to be his last time voicing the character. After listening him to him in the Batman animated series when I was a kid, and more recently Arkham Asylum, I don't know if I'll get used to hearing someone else in the role.
I really wish more people, especially on N4G, shared your sentiments. I bought a PS3 over an XBox because I preferred the exclusives PS3 has to offer, but I don't have animosity toward anyone who made the opposite decision. I hope XBox does have some solid releases next year. Having competition keeps things interesting and encourages developers to continue making high quality exclusives.
I like how the press release throws in that you can download Prototype for $29.99. I understand it's a sensible PR move to make people aware of it, but why would I spend $30 downloading a game I can get a physical copy of for half the price on Amazon and not take up space on my console?
Haven't played Prototype. I had considered it after hearing it was similar to Infamous (which I LOVE), but based on some of these comments I think I'll stay away.
Knowing that would involve clicking on the link and reading the article, as opposed to seeing the title and blindly commenting to show off that you, like everyone else on here, know what happened at the VGAs. Clearly, that's a ridiculous scenario.
Does anyone else feel pretty confident the game won't contain anything graphic and will probably turn out to be along the lines of a mildly-risque Mario Party? I can't imagine either Nintendo or Sony would want the backlash from nosy do-gooders that motion control sex games are bound to cause.
