Nintendo will be fine even if the Wii U absolutely bombs. Even though it only sold 160k last quarter, Nintendo posted a profit...which is a bit ridiculous. They also have a buttload of cash and assets they could sell off if it came to that. Actually....they are in better shape than Sony at the moment.
They actually have pretty decent third party support for this fall. Beyond is still up in the air but we didn't even hear about CoD coming to the system until a couple weeks...

Couple this with Club Nintendo and you've got an awesome incentive service. I'll take free games and gaming swag over rented games any day. Not to say that PS+ isn't awesome....but actually owning stuff is tough to beat.

Weird....I haven't seen a single person upset about this.
Missing offline co-op, that could probably be patched in later, in favor of having all of the other content and exclusive Gamepad features on time as the other versions is definitely okay. Ubisoft has seen what happens to late ports, even if they include more content than the other standard versions.
People who complain about this are just looking for excuses at this point.
Third parties will always find an excuse. Plain and simple.

I agree with you for the most part....but Nintendo themselves won't be in big trouble IF the Wii U doesn't start to sell more after the exclusives roll out.
I mean, they only sold 160k Wii U's last quarter.....and still turned a profit. Big trouble implies that they will be having financial woes...when they could lose $300m a year, every year, and be around in 30-40 years.

Sony has lost over $4 billion since 2006....is their stock price tanking? Is the company worthless? No.
I thought my body was ready for this game....then that trailer in the Direct happened and it blew me away. For some reason, I was not expecting the story to look that epic. I mean...it almost looks like it rivals some old school JRPG's.
