its limited by the 360s USB 2.0. its dedicated connector that the new xbox 360s models have can transfer massive amounts of memory compared to usb 2 or even usb 3 but some people as still using older model 360s so all games have to use the limited usb 2.0 bandwidth or unequal experiences will be created which would be bad.

exactly. even bulletstorm pc destroy all console games in the visual department and crysis 2 pc 720p on Gamer(the lowest settings possible) destroys all console games in the graphics department oh highest settings(extreme) it makes console games like uncharted 3,gears 3 and killzone 3 look like ps2 games lol PATHETIC when the directx 11 patch and high res textures pack are invoked it makes the pc cysis 2 even better and makes console games look even WORSE than ps2 games LOL

cryis 1 and crysis: warhead are less than 10gb yet when maxed out(even without mods for crysis 1) its a generation ahead of all console games in both graphics and physics(it has FULLY destructible environments) and its environments fully exporable and larger than that of all your console exclusives COMBINED. infact crysis 1 running medium with 8xAA 16x AF @1080p looks better than anything on consoles and it can run on those settings 60fps on a 2006 pc gaming.
its only the jaspers which they started producing sometime in 2007(I think late that year) and the new S models(Valhalla) that do not rrod. the rest are PRONE, the worst and most prone model being xenon(the launch 360 model)

ps3 cannot do proper 3d either. on consoles 3d is a GIMMICK. its only pc that can do it the way its supposed to be done. on consoles game devs use algorithms to create a 3D ILLUSION that you'll need a 3dtv and 3d glasses to view properly when its actually almost the same as the 2d version. proper 3d requires TWICE the processing power and TWICE the frame buffer size, pixel fillate and bandwidth. while fake 3d only requires as little as 1% extra processing power. so therefore if a game run...
you are correct MS is making a killing in profits off every 360 sold, as well as xbox live, kinect hardware and kinect games. the can easily afford a 100 price cut. the 250gb 360 slim costs about $130(the 4gb costs 120) to manufacture and they're selling it at about double the price. the hard drive only costs $10 to include and its being sold for $70 or $80 :/
