That is simply ridiculous.
I don't find it tedious, and it's certainly not more of a survival game than an exploration game.
I certainly hope you guys feel as dumb today as you should, after Sean Murray addressed this "problem".
So much for the "No MP, confirmed" article yesterday.
That article was just stupid, but not as stupid as the people who bought into it and started ranting about Sean Murray and Sony lying to customers. I'd love to think this will teach a few people to think a bit more before they type, but I know damn well it won't.
I've had sooo many "payoff" moments in this game so far. To each his own, but I think this game is effing incredible.
Your response makes zero sense.
I already gotten $60 of fun time out of it, easily.
Yeah I found a funny looking thing that had a head like a rhino, a shelled torso like a turtle, legs that were sort of elephant like, and these little green butterfly wings that were somehow keeping it in the air.
This thing was the size of my ship, by the way.
Love this game!
At what point does a vocal minority become "the public"?
I've only been to 5 or so planets/moons so far but one of them had no animal life and very little plant life. It had a very thin atmosphere, which caused my life support to work harder and run out faster. Lots of plutonium, some iron, and not much else that I saw.
My two most memorable creature encounters :
A thing that looked a lot like an Ewok. When I scanned it, it's behavior was described as Unpredictable. It attacked me seconds later, running...
"The reception is mostly negative dude"
Based on what?
As of right now on Metacritic there is one (1) critic review, and it's classified as mixed.
There are 243 positive user reviews vs 172 negative user reviews, not that I find MC user reviews to be any sort of reliable metric either way, but just looking at those numbers alone the response has been more positive than negative.
On Amazon so far 54% of ...
It's definitely one of my favorites for this year or any other.
"It doesn't look like one of the best games of the year to many"
That can be said about any Game of the Year winner you can name.
Indeed. During their live stream one of the IGN guys said they review games according to how well they achieve their stated goal. I don't think that's true at all about IGN, but if it was they should give this game no less than a 9. Sean Murray talked about classic sci fi book covers, and I've seen many of them so far, not to mention having adventures that wouldn't be out of place in a sci fi novel or movie.
As I'm playing I just keep thinking of Captain...
"In March there weren't many details."
Are you lying or just wrong?
I don't like what I read here because my experience so far has been the opposite. I've been surprised at how much life and activity there is, on the planets and in space.
It's very possible. It was clearly self defense, though the Sentinels don't recognize that as a valid excuse.
"You people" meaning the type with no common sense who is looking to scream "Lies confirmed" without any good solid evidence, and no… these pictures and this story aren't good solid evidence of anything except bad gaming journalism.
Yeah I started at 11pm monday night and didn't stop until 7:30 am. Slept about 4 hours and then played most of the day tuesday. When I wasn't playing I was making YT videos of the game or making myself some food. Now it's 4am, I still haven't been back to sleep since I woke tuesday, and I'm about to play some more. I don't use this word for many games but I'm fascinated by No Man's Sky.
I hope you and the others who overreacted feel like idiots today.
