Well there is a reason why previous consoles had low clock speeds. 2,2ghs and 3,5ghz are not easy to cool thats why PC cases and gaming Notebooks are so big.

I think the first half of the game was average at most but the second half of the game, where you go further south, is really good. There are more typs of enemies, bigger hordes, better guns, better atmosphere etc.
