@Lightning77 These games >had< nearly 40 million players at their launch window. Now look at the steam charts and the most played Xbox games. Both games are currently far away from these numbers.

There is still no PS5 Version of Minecraft.

Nobody would invest 80 billion dollars to stay at the third place. A/B is not just any Publisher, they are the most successful one. COD is yearly one of the best selling games on competition platforms. Without it, Sony will miss a lot of money because of missing microtransactions.

These take overs will have impact to customers purchasing decisions especially after one of the biggest franchises in gaming history becomes Xbox exclusive. Sony will also lose a lot of money due to the lack of microtransactions.

Activision a failing company? You know that COD is one of the best selling gaming franchises since three console generations, right? Wtf are you smoking?

The question is who needs whom more? Playstation is the biggest platform for COD, what will happen to COD without it? Will enough people switch from Playstation to Xbox/PC because of COD?

Every game which isn't in Gamepass is in competition with Gamepass. Why should someone spend 70€ for a game when they have 200 games to play in Gamepass? And some of these 70€ games are coming to gamepass sooner or later anyway. This way MS will force Gamedeveloper to bring their games day one to Gamepass.
