The demo itself isn't impressive at all. In one of my media arts classes we bought a usb gyroscope phidget at http://www.robotshop.com/se... and plugged it into a modded PSP. We had the exact same sort of thing running on there.
Sure the implications for the types of applications sure is great, but the tech demo itself is nothing impressive. As I said, a bunch of college students just learning...
Top 10 FPS Melee weapons? It's harder to think of a list than you think!
Want to know what our number 1 picks were? Listen to this short and sweet podcast.
If you guys have any other Top 10 ideas you want to hear, go ahead and post it in the comments, the more input from you guys, the better.
Two disagrees so far when you speak the truth. The support for the Wii has been the worst Nintendo software support since the N64. Sure Skyward Sword is fantastic, but why they went so long without any worthwhile titles is beyond me.
I learn something new every day.
Why is that? They cover both JRPG and WRPG's extensively. Most other websites just don't even talk about the pros or cons of either and just say if they like it or not.
Nice discussion of RPGs. Keep up the good work. I'll be sure to sign up for the contest!
It's pretty hard when you aren't 1/4 over.
Seriously, this is a joke, even if it were the most amazing thing ever, we have bandwidth issues, control issues, battery issues, and mobile tech is only getting better itself.
You will be disappointed in how many issues there are. I've played dozens of betas starting around 2000, and this is by far the most broken one I've ever played. I'll PM you a beta key. Download the Hi-Command installer from www.tribesascend.com
Since day 1, me along with hundreds of other Tribes "veterans" were saying they need to go. We got criticized by all the newcomers saying no one likes us, etc etc because all we do is complain.
Low and behold. Several months later and thousands of complaints, both the vets and newbies are happy that they are gone.
Also, sniper, shotgun and pistol are still hitscan, just none of the automatic guns.
3G is too slow and very limited. Wifi is still great enough. I'm almost always in a hot spot.
This is sex to my ears.
I agree with your last comment, but BF3 MP has some things they need to fix. I still don't see how the Tac-light can be so blinding in a sunny map.
Also, rockets aren't very strong, either that or it's a glitch. Shot a guy at his feet in metro, he got hit, and kept running.
And while I'm glad Recon is no longer as annoying as it was in BC2, but because how overpowered they were last game, they are really weak in comparison to every other class...
Once again Thom nails it again. I haven't posted regularly here in like a year, but Thom still consistently leaves out the BS in the comments.
Mad respect.
It's ok, I subtly tore the author a new one in his comments.
Sony's closing usually entail just removing the administrative structure of the company and reallocating their employees else where. For example, Studio Liverpool has been "closed" but almost all employees where merged elsewhere to focus on other titles.
I think Day 1 DLC is BS for any game. Especially for BF3. This is a trend I don't like.
There is no "Valve Support." Something wrong with HL2? Portal? L4D? You have to go through Steam support because that is their platform that communicates with the consumer.
They aren't "revamping" XBL, they are revamping the Dashboard. When I say "revamp XBL" I mean completely overhaul the coding they have for it. In it's current state it doesn't accept 3rd party services like that.
This has been there for a while. I don't see what there is to get excited about. Valve doesn't have a "Valve Support" page to request help for their games, everything consumer related goes through Steam, so it's very possible that it has to do with the Valve games already on 360.
Anyway, IF that is MS opening the doors of XBL (which I highly doubt, unless they completely overhaul the network) then that's a good sign.
It's a "video" of Kyoto Japan made by stitched together camera shots. It's the same tech as Google Street View.. but.. much higher resolution cameras, as they don't have to worry about bandwidth and data-basing issues like Google does.
