A big reveal event and not a single actual gameplay trailer ?
Big fat steaming no.
A game could have 1 year dev time and still disappoint, that is if most of it's exposure to consumers are through cryptic/hype tweets and showing off a star studded cast.
Woud love to be wrong of course.
And please, no insults.
I smell another KH3/FFXV fiasco.
The games were serviceable for what they were but would have never lived up to the hype built up over the years. If Kojima allows these "dev" impressions to continue with their hyperbolic tweets and posts of a game no one outside of game development have seen, most consumers will end up building this amazing game inside their heads that will somehow manage to pull off impressive graphics, music and gameplay all at the same time.
Best Roll.
One is not required to buy and play the game in order to figure out if the game is good or not.
With enough research, you could figure out if the game is the one for you without spending a dime.
Well, it is an opinion piece after all.
I would personally liked a Treasure Planet world but Disney would never acknowledge it
A conglomerate as large as Sony cannot afford passive aggressive remarks over something as small as crossplay.
MUDA DA
Video Game Journalism. Not even once.
Killing everyone and having the story continously change is fine.
But romance options is too much work ?
Pretty good. Good to know KH is still pretty big over at Japan, however sales overseas is going to be the challenge.
It's got the Disney brand behind it but some may find the game a bit lacking if this is their first entry to KH.
Im thinking a new fresh start with the KH series with a new protag would be most ideal in the future , kinda like MH:World since the rebranding did wonders to attract tons of new players overseas and yet keeping the core gameplay intac...
More KH = more work for Nomura = not ending up like Tabata.
Good.
How about owning both ? Im not about to kiss goodbye to a bunch exclusives on my console.
Work hard, earn money, buy sh** you like.
More power is cool but affordibility is also important. Hopefully Sony will find a middle ground.
As long as they don't go overboard with something like the Cell on the PS3.
And hardware spec-ulations are nice but as with most console hardware, they're outdated about a year after release.
Going the action route can work just as well as turn-based. And with Nomura and the KH battle plannner Takahashi at the helm things are gonna be pretty flashy but good. I believe Nomura will add combat ideas/design originally set for FFVSXIII into FF7RE.
And it's not like the original is gone, it's still there.
There are many different kinds of "good" when it comes to videogames.
Animation
Narrative
Sounds/SFX
Music
Ai
Accessibility
Graphics
And so on. BUT, if the game itself isn't any fun to actually play (you know, the single most important point of a videogame) then it isn't good. No matter how you twist it.
A time limited demo by 24h or a day or two would have been far more agreeable. It's clear this is an attempt to stave off the small base of players who keep on repeatedly play the same demo over and over again and get them to actually buy the game.
More games, more censorship and further diminished japanese support.
I read somewhere about how denuvo would tell developers to remove the tech afterwards when sales would slow down and how it could be turned into good pr. Or maybe im just misremembering things.
It's a reboot is it not ?
