I second the props to EA notion. They have won me back. Sure NFS sucked but Dead Space Mirrors Edge and Burnout were great. I have been in the Home Beta since it's inception and that has only soured my view of Home to the extreme but I gotta say this is a solid start. Even if it did include multiple accounts how many people actually have more than one account? The mass majority of people just pick up a PS3 make one account and play. I did not make 3 accounts for like a year. Even it is less, say 15mil, that is still great in relation to the amount of actual PS3s sold. The only reasons I got a PS3 were MGS4, GT5 and free online.
I am a GT fan but I think my statements are fair so please do not just press disagree.
Well if sales matter to you guys then I guess you would love to know that GT is the second highest selling console video game series (google it). I guess considering this, GT will not sell well...lol.
I will say that Forza 2 kicks GTs butt as far as features, but as a "driving sim" (physics, tracks detail, etc) GT is better. More for its track design which is recognized ...
Not trying to be negative but if Sony is now breaking even on the PS3 do you really think there is going to be a PS3 slim. I don't think so. A price drop is a definite as well as a must. Awesome games, of course there will be awesome games. I think we are going to see Home go from meh to ok this is not half that bad. I also think we will see the PS store get even more great content. Yeah the one with TDK works great and is really convenient. If Blu Ray does this for all future titles I will be getting a lot more BD titles.
It sucks with this market and all. The only new games I bought this year were MGS4 GTAIV and LBP. There was just no money for anything else. Hell thats $200 (tax included). There were so many others that I missed. I think that the idea that the video game industry is recession proof is going to fade. I think the only games I will get next year are KZ2, RE5 (maybe), GOWIII and GT5(if it comes out).
I know the idea has been thrown around and is nothing new but I have been dying to see a Sony or MS version of Nintendo's Super Smash Brothers. Think Snake vs Dante vs Kratos vs Raiden vs Jak vs Ratchet vs Sackboy vs Nathan Hale vs etc. Or Master Chief vs Ryu vs Marcus Fenix vs Banjo vs DOA girls vs etc. I know most of those are third party characters but who would not buy that game? seriously...
To end the sales battle, GT is the second highest selling video game franchise on a console. It is only second to GTA. Google it. Most people ignore GT5p but if you actually have a racing wheel and play the game there is a lot to be had out of a "mere demo". The difference between being good at GT5p and being great is huge. Anybody can pick up Forza 2 and be good. GT5p not so much.
Forza 2 had great community features and networking but the actual game side (physics, graphics etc) was lacking. GT5p is almost the opposite. GT has great graphics, physics and Ai but lacks a solid online component. But then again it is only a prologue. PD has stated that they are working very hard on a solid online component to the game. jijoro, you can't be serious... at least try to make a constructive statement. Give it like 2 minutes. Last time I checked there are 3 "robots" in MGS4 that you actually fight, each once. Most of the time you are SNEAKING around humans and trying to go undetected. But if you prefer killing aliens thats fine. Oh in MGS4 you are saving man kind from The Patriots. Jijoro, but its an amazing cinematic experience. MGS4 has that special epic-ness about it. Kinda like when I first played COD4 and did the AC130 gunship mission. It was just too awesome. The Rex vs Ray fight is something I will always remember. Not to mention the final duel with Liquid. If there was a most epic game of the year category MGS4 should win that by default. GOTY there are a lot of strong contenders so we will have to see.
Gears 2 is a great game. For 99% of the people out there it is great. It wins at being maybe the most awesome feeling or lets say badass (<-- opinion based) but best graphics, no I am sorry that is wrong.

Personally Fallout 3 was great but MGS4 was better. Fallout was really good but there is nothing quite like MGS4. If the online wasn't hindered by Konami then I would say it was perfect. At Dark, that is the Citroen Concept by GT. PD designed it specifically for Citroen. It is like a 800hp hydrogen car with no gears! Its pretty fast in GT5p. They also made one in real life but it is a twin turbo diesel not hydrogen.
