I dont see it that way.
We Europeans are paying around $800 for just the console (£550 ($950) probably in the end once we have games, HDMI cables, and all that), but a lot of us just cough up for it and dont think twice.
I dont understand-
there are graphic cards out there which cost more than the PS3, and they have a lifespan many, MANY time...

Xenos ARE NOT superior to the RSX.
Basically a heavily overclocked X1650 XT vs a lightly overclocked 7800GTX.
They are rather similar-
do not say that the Xenos are superior to the RSX when you apparently know little in this area.
Im sorry, but the 360 did not have a better launch lineup.

Topgamer - This is interesting.
You state all those games are in 1080p, and are flawless and smooth (Most are on the PS3 anyway), but you fail to take notice of the fact that the 360 cannot output in 1080p at the moment (Not in Native, anyway).
Why ? Component handles only 1080i and everything below.
So I find it interesting you describe the games as flawless and smooth under 1080p if you could not have possibly seen them in 1080p on the 360 (Unless you have one of these ...

I have yet to play a HD game (1 month until PS3 in England).
However, im pretty sure once I get to play games in 720p and 1080i, I wont want to go back.
Im all the more sure this will be more the case in 2 years once the Wii starts to really show its age.

one of the best things about Snake is his rather dashing voice.
I mean, David Hayter is one gifted man.

The main reason is that this is debateably Sonys biggest chance to not only wow the PS3 gaming communtity, but to wow the world.
If they manage to even just about achieve what they achieved in THAT video, then Killzone 2 > All.
The PS3 will suddenly not only look TOTALLY superior to the 360, but Sony will have gained all the interest in their console until MS unviels somehing of similar quality.
This is not the be all, end all, but its damn well close to being so.
This is a gigantic chance for Sony to prove themselves.
If they show even the tinyest playable demo, however it looks just like that trailer, expect there to be a uproar of excitement.

I can play a game with about the same amount of control on a keyboard as with a controller.

b. This is not generic. Think GTA, but in a warzone. Mercs 1 was excellent, and I have little doubt that Mercs 2 will not be any less than excellent either.
