I think GOTY should be between this and BG3, anything else, even TOTK would be a surprise.
Yeah, the multiplayer seems decent enough but the campaign really seems like a poor excuse, Either way even if the MP is decent, is it enough (and different enough) to really warrant buying a whole new full price game over MW2 from last year? Tough pitch...
I love comments like this. They are the best, just so entertaining.
That makes absolutely no sense
So the review that said...
- Its buggy at launch (devs should be held to higher standard)
- Graphics look gorgeous but seem a little soft (not to Turn 10 standards)
- Great new handling model
- Improved AI
- Practice modes that let you familiarise yourself with a track and your car before jumping into the race,
- New online multiplayer safety rating system for clean racing
- Captures the core racing experience / pacing

It says PlayStations “Horizon” not PlayStations game, specifically because PS owners haven’t had a rival game to play lately. Do you then understand that it’s specifically saying that it’s NOT a knock-off. Did you take any time to watch or read anything properly before commenting?

Can anyone recommend any other games like Advance Wars and Into the Breach that are on console?
It's definitely gonna leave a big mark this year, but in many ways you're also completely correct because the original essentially invented a new genre of third-person over-the-shoulder shooters that followed, not to mention that it was a big inspiration for Dead Space (and boy, that remake this year was good too).
Those twin robots are about to spawn off an entire category on teh-pr0n sites aren't they?
In which direction?
The world is so incredible, and I'm so happy that they made this a single player game... but it would be crazy to think that this couldn't expand into a multiplayer expansion similar to what was done with GTA Online, or even what was planned for Cyberpunk.
The reason for the comparison is that they are actually very similar games, released at a similar time for a similar price. The vast majority of the review focuses on Evil West and not God of War, so I'm not sure why you think it's just a comparison – far from it. Make no mistake though, it seems like God of War was very much used as a template for the game systems and structure, just more linear for the missions.
Anyone know if HDR works in the game on PS5?
pass you by*
My fav message so far was one that distracted me so that an enemy could ambush me. It was mean but a good laugh.
It definitely could do with a little more explanation (that’s from software for you though) but there’s so much going on that’s way easier on newcomers than BB or DS where some people literally won’t make it past the first few enemies.
The enemies don’t scale, so an enemy that was super tough at first can be very manageable later simply because you’re a higher level and you’ve got more health, more potions, stronger weapons etc.
“Sony and Nintendo can both completely still lean on the fact that their stable of games are top-shelf. Nintendo just recently released the magnificent Metroid Dread, and Sony has Horizon: Forbidden West on the way after already releasing a few crackers in 2021 which includes Deathloop, Returnal and Ratchet & Clank.”
Saw a great tweet about this might be good proof to bigger publishers that they can scale down games and make good products on lower budgets rather than blow big money on mediocre Triple A titles that end up failing.
I really hope people vote with their wallets on this one, because it’s super solid.
