Talk around GDC was we might not be seeing Gamestop around much longer... A lot of reports say they're trying to filter out their stock and liquidate. I wouldn't say it's 100% but many people we spoke with said Gamestop might not be here in 2012 to 2013. Could happen. What's scary is how all of that might affect Amazon and Ebay and such. What about Gamefly?

Sucker Punch? Level-5? Keep in mind "Ready at Dawn" has been abscent too. Oh, and Heavenly Sword 2 is 100% green lit for next year release aswell. Oh how I wonder what will be made of all this?
I don't blame the xbox 360 at all... I don't even blame Microsoft. I simply blame Square for being lousy developers who've gotten by on Final Fantasy 7's fame in hopes they make a game equal to it again. That, at its core, is what's really on everyone's mind. That's why people buy their games. They think that someday their next game will be the one that shines... Sadly, they never are.

Unreal engine is cross platform... GEOW3 engine uses nelldex <(*SP) which is also a key componet in a lot of Microsoft and Sony cross platform games. It's also found in PC games. Gears of war 3 won't be on Ps3.

Just now, huh? Finally getting around to taking note of a tremendously talented actor dying? My complaint isn't just with this site, either. It's the entire media hub as a whole. I was at GDC when his death was announced and it was hectic but even still I was shocked. Shocked that while looking at the news outlets from my "then" phone. (someone took it) I couldn't believe how little coversage his death was and still is getting.

It's funny when you go to events and see some of these Mag/Web publication represenatives around. It's even funnier when you see them scrambling for interviews and such. It's even more funny when you see that the Edge crew are like little babies pushing their way through the lunchroom line to get to the milk cartons 1st.
But what's sad is that Sony is so good to these people. They really are, not just Edge either, and these people use every crutch they get to break the cast ...
The only time I disapear is when my band and I are on tour... And that's for obvious reasons. I am 100% positive of this. A side note, Sony is buying another studio this year too. A close one. I can't say it's Level 5 because I don't think it is level 5 but some people said it could be the case as a ton of Sony employee's are setting up shop with these guys in a new office.
I'm 100% sure of it... The kicker here is that from what we've been hearing Sony isn't backing many RPG's. A lot of them have been put on the table for Sony and 85% of them are being rejected by them.
We know they are spending millions on Legend of Dragoon 2 and they're footing the dev cost for Darkcloud 3 but aside from an MMO Sony is creating for PShome there isn't much to pick from we gather.
I just got back today and still haven't went through my copy... I got it the day before I left for GDC, which was cut short on the 9th. The opening of the game and pretty much all I've played so far is about what I had hoped for. Everything here is of the highest quality and the exchange of scripted events is truly legendary for a videogame.
I'm still partial to Uncharted for some reason but God of War 3 is defiantly impressing me. Also of note, I loved part 1 and didn't car...

Dark Cloud 3 is their announcment. We made mention of this long ago... We saw some stuff at GDC and talked to a few here and there about what Level 5 was up to and everyone is under the impression Darkcloud 3 is Sony's Febuary 2011 RPG.

At GDc it was talked about that there are soon going to be premium XMB layouts on the Storefront. It's one of Sony's perks for premium PSN membership service. If you don't have it you'll be paying upwards of 2.99 to 4.99 per layout. Some of them looked sharp. Not total customization, like I've always wanted, but cool none the less.

Not at all. From what we've played the past two days of being at GDC things seem like they always have been. So Sony has a new motion set up, as does Microsoft. It won't affect how you choose to game.

Really? I haven't seen 1 trilogy on the Ps3 yet... Hell, we can't even count R&CFTOD - R&CQFB - R&CACIT as a trilogy even. So, where are these epic trilogies at? I mean, we're getting close. Resistance is almost there. But it's hardly epic. Uncharted is almost there, but it's going to be another 2 years on that one... So the title is misleading.

This is like the worst thing Sony could have let happen. Ps3's demand has been high for about a good 6 months. They should have been prepared for Heavy Rain and certainly God of War 3. What a missed opportunity to close the gap between xbox 360.
let me reiterate here... I've no clue who they're buying. I just know they're buying another studio. It could be Zipper, Sucker Punch, Ready at Dawn... I don't know. I do know for 100% certain they gave "a" studio the go ahead for Heavenly Sword 2 awhile back, though. And it will release next year. Probably sep to oct.
