No, reviews are opinions and opinions have been and always will be subjective.
I didn't purchase or play No Man's Sky so I have no thoughts on the game.
Great article Greg. Not sure where I stand on this game yet, but it's great to see games that are bonkers like this hitting the Switch!
I have played every night since launch and I absolutely love the game. More and more reviews are becoming a hindrance more than a help. They are subjective based on the person reviewing it and their circumstances. I haven't had any issues and would recommend this game to anyone. Great article Andrew.
Good article Brett. However, I do agree that Fortnite is more complicated in design, but it's much more of a friendly user experience and that is where I think it makes the difference.
I agree that 2018 will be a better year, but I fully expect this year to be a stronger foundation to build on. Microsoft is no longer in this generation, it's mind and focus has moved to next gen. The hope is that the next few years Xbox spends ironing out the small things.
To be fair, the whole article is opinion, but I would say it was the sole reason. I'm not saying that PlayStation wouldn't still be #1, but there would not be near the disparity there is now had both consoles launched at the same price with no confusion about digital rights management.
@JackBNimble - You are absolutely right. I did learn to proofread in school. What they didn't teach me was how to be perfect and without error for my entire life. If you teach a class on that let me know where I can attend. I would love to never again burden someone with a typo that might ruin their entire life. Hit me up.
As I tried to point out, I honestly think they've been in a rebuilding phases since the Xbox One Reveal Event. Why I think 2018 is key has everything to do with The Xbox One X launching last year. For the first time since 2013, it feels like the Xbox finally has momentum. This leads me to believe that it will use that momentum in 2018 to try and finish this generation on a high note.
You make some solid arguments, but to think that Microsoft would be out of the console market after the One is a little unrealistic. Even though the PlayStation is far ahead in sales, the Xbox One is still out pacing the 360. By that logic, we would see another console from Microsoft in the future.
That's exactly what it is, opinion. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
While I am perfectly capable of simple math, The 4 and 7 can sometimes be an issue on a 10 key. Guess maybe my fingers get ahead of me every now and then. Thanks for so politely pointing it out. That error has been updated.
You don't actually believe that do you Marylou? The Xbox One has outsold both the 360 and PS3 at this point in its life. While it isn't at the numbers of the PS4, the Xbox One is FAR from a failure. Also, while America may be lead by a maniacal comic book villain, this country has survived worse. Both America and Microsoft are going to be just fine.
Thanks for reading Woolly and I agree that waiting until you beat a game is a hard ask. The heart of that resolution, for me, is to try and actually finish the games that I spend my money on. A lot of times I move on to a new game simply because it's new. Right now there are probably a dozen games sitting on my HDD that I've played a few hours of and then moved on...not because I didn't like them but because I'm just bought something else. I have regularly been a person who bu...
That's awesome. I think I'm currently in the 400's, so maybe I can join you!
I agree. I did mention that you have to take a sale when you can find it, but it's hard. Personally, I just find myself every year buying a few more games then I can play. Year after year I've wasted so much money on games that if I'm being honest I will probably never touch. It's on my list this year, so we will see if I can stick to it. haha
Couldn’t agree more. I enjoy playing them now with it’s my kids, but if I’m honestly, I have just as much fun playing them all alone! 😁
Sorry, didn't mean to mislead. Although, I do hope we get new games as part of the service one day.
Nobody I think is a broad term. It has it's audience. I think the bigger issue is that the show was filled with Sony (mostly) and Nintendo content while Xbox was barely mentioned. Bottom line is that it's a stage with millions of gamers watching, Microsoft should have shown up in a bigger way.
I agree Mr. Guitarist. The game might have it's flaws but I haven't had more fun with a game in years. I'm excited to see where it goes from here.
