made Halo3 with Halo2 engine? Well a lot of effort and resource was put into it Halo2 graphics as u can imagine.
Its obvious they arent going to use the same graphics for next halo. Therefore, i conclude they'll make 2 halo games for every graphic engine.
Now its upto MS/Bungie whether to optimise a new graphic engine for this generations xbox which will overlap the next gen, or to wait and start afresh for next gen(2010).

Is because of XBL being closed meaning, its a private network(i think) eg phone contract.
Unless XBL has insanely responsive intant interaction among other players, ie shooting a player registers as quick as offline/LAN, then i think its not worthy of a charge. XBL delivers no better than PSN with that.

Both Gears and Halo3 take average 3-7 mins to join. Best being 20 seconds which is a quite frequent. But at least half the time, both take ages.
Halo is the most irritating when players match found, loads, then starts ALL over again. Team doubles is the only consistent one - 4 players total.

I honestly can't get excited about the 360 and trying to recreate what the PS2 did and now trying to steal PS3's thunder just makes it even less attractive. I don't understand why Microsoft doesn't realize that consumers don't look for copy cats, they look for new ideas.
The best things on the 360 are the ideas that they came up with on their own, but anything that's been done before somewhere else doesn't define the console.
