IMHO no.This is another 30 FPS console, hardly the definition of power. I bet that in most 3rd party games you will struggle to tell difference the Pro and X version.
Tomb Raider's graphics is more realistic but the game is a total resource hog. I bet even the Xbox X will struggle with this game.
At last, a true hardcore mode. Can't wait to try this when I get home.

Dark Souls 3 on the PS Pro is an "unlocked" game after the patch and it will dip into 30-35 when I need performance the most, mainly at boss battles.
Until this console can run games at 60 FPS then it doesn't come close to the PC. Just like the "true 4K" lie, the "premium PC experience" is another lie. Someone needs to stand up and call MS out and their bullshit.
Both are fake 4K consoles, both are incapable of running games 60 FPS with any sort consistency, so I guess it comes down to the games and if you need a 4K UHD player or not. I guess the biggest problem with the X is that it doesn't definitively beat the Pro.

This is one of the best Soul-like on the PS Pro. Silky smooth 60 FPS all the way. I actually enjoyed this game and it's performance so much that I found it hard to return Dark Souls 3's and it's turd like 30 FPS.
The real news is how both AMD and Nvidia are posting record-breaking sales of PC gaming hardware in a market where PC gaming is supposed to be "dead".
PC gaming being dead is fake news. Right now the prices on any sort of gaming GPUs are doubling because everything under $600 is sold out, everywhere. Even the AMD and Nvidia war is irrelevant with record profits on both sides. Between the gamers and the miners the hardware companies are making the kind of profits they haven't seen in a decade.
Without frame rates there is no true power. This is another upscaling console, nothing more.
Best reason= Frame rates. 60 FPS is life and it makes a huge game changing difference. I still can't believe that the consoles haven't made this a top priority, instead, we get the misleading fraudster claims like "True 4K".
I have a 65 KS8000 too. It is THE gaming TV for a moment because the nearest upgrade is a LG C7 OLED that is virtually twice the cost. The problem is that to truly take advantage of this TV you might need to gaming PC because it is one of the very few TVs that can handle native 120hz refresh rate in 1080p.
Why be multplat gamer and gain perspective when you can be a single console owner and join the millions of fanboy sheeps? They are legion.
