Microsoft announced the Kinect-less Xbox One while dropping the price to $399 last May. The price didn't go into effect until 6/9/14 so people held off buying Xbox One consoles that month. Which explains the huge year over year increase compared to last May.

I don't think the game is dead. Rockstar renewed the Agent trademark back in 2013. From what I remember, Sony funded part of LA Noire, but gave up exclusivity for Agent instead. With Grand Theft Auto V finally out on PC and the PS4 being almost 2 years old with a pretty big install base. I can see them reviving this game at some point.

Sony/Microsoft have the right to protect the developers/publishers that sell their games on the PS Store. They aren't going to take the hit or tell the developer/publisher that we will not reimburse you for this game purchase since it was purchased without the original owners consent. Whoever made the purchase probably played the game already by the time they fully investigate everything. Of course they would rather the original account owner who claimed fraudulent access to take the hit....
Sony announced the Batman Arkham PS4 Bundles on 3/31/15. It isn't a surprise that they lost out in April. As for 1st party games, Sony usually starts off slow at the beginning of the generation. They make up for it during the middle and especially final years of the console generation.
This is starting to look very similar to the PS2/Xbox/GameCube generation.
Andrew House has actually been with Playstation since 1995. Most of the original Playstation employees still work there and Kaz even got promoted to run the whole company now. They have loyal employees and fans. :)
They also bought Minecraft with plans to use it for Hololens.
If you have PS+ for PS4, picking up a PS3, and PS Vita definitely helps maximize the value you get out of that $50/year membership.
The reason Sony lost the April NPD is because they announced the Batman PS4 Bundles at the end of March. The Batman PS4 Bundles launch the week after E3 at $399 - $449.99. So I doubt the PS4 will get a price cut.
I have a feeling they will announce a new God of War 3 Remastered Bundle to replace The Last of Us Remastered Bundle for July.
