It's not really convenient thou. Most xbox gamers have 20 or 60 gig hard drives. Pricing isn't helping, and the space constrictions won't either.

Lol. Exactly. There has been nothing close to backed up speculation about a 360 slim because there is no 360 slim. Microsoft should just be content with their current failure rates, and not try and make it worse by taking out parts. Sony is just too good at building hardware and refining.

Lol. Why would Activision lower their forecast from 08 for the PS3 if they know a price cut is coming? Obviously, they don't know jack.

We don't know the implications a $299.99 PS3 may have in the market, especially as the only console with a blu-ray player, and a console with a predecessor that shipped 140mil units and is still selling. This is also in a market where blu-ray players were hot Christmas items last year.

Obviously, a drop to $299.99 for the PS3 would be just as substantial a price cut as a $199.99 360 because it's at a historical mass market price point for the first time.

Production shipments are a sale to retailers. How else would Sony know how much stock retailers needed if retailers didn't tell Sony?

These are lifetime sales figures.

Sony = recorded sales

Microsoft = shipped numbers

Yeah. And you got owned in this article for saying the exact same thing.

"Lifetime to Date Hardware Sales Worldwide

Nintendo Wii - 52.6 million
Xbox 360 - 31.4 million
PlayStation 3 - 23.8 million

all of those are shipped..thanx Agree(6) | Disagree(20) | Report"

Sony's numbers are tracked down to the consumer level. Sony was out selling the 360 by huge amounts in Japan early in the year with big game releases, and who knows what's going on in EU. Which is considered Sony land (not counting Nintendo.)

So, psinsider.e-mpire.com has unique information that no one else does? Lol. Ok. Riiight. Any no name site can claim to have secret information from insiders, then suger coat it with.. " bubu but chalk this up as a rumor," have it posted within the hour, and not lose their credibility as a website if they're wrong because they are already unknown. This seems like a desperate attempt to cash in on these PS3 Slim rumors.
