the next few months with the $50 price drops and $199 core?
I mean, who still thinks PS3 doesn't need a price cut?
Everytime I say "PRICE CUT" legions of PS3 fans disagree, well they're wrong.
And now there is no excuse that the first price cut of the Core system hadn't taken effect.
But the real trouble will now start for PS3, the XBOX 360 has got a $50 price cut among all skus and the $199 core.
If PS3 is getting outsold by 360 now, imagine the next month?
Still think the PS3 doesn't need a price cut?
In terms of mainstream, I think the PS3 has the edge with a more rounded lineup especially if Little Big Planet is all it's craked up to be.
In terms of Hardcore gamers, 360 might have the advantage with Gears of War 2, Fable II, and Left 4 dead.
But I still think that if PS3 doesn't lower the price this year, they will stuggle during the holiday.
Cause the PS3 bombed, so games on the PS3 don't sell. So now all Japanese games are coming to XBOX 360 to actually get sales.
And 360 has most of it's userbase outside of Japan.
Can't you just admit when you're wrong. PS3 is wrong, they should of never of added Blu ray. It's either gonna cost Sony a crap load of money, or they're just not gonna sell too many systems.
Blu ray makes PS3 more expensive to make, and to keep the PS3 competitive, they are gonna have to sell it at a cheaper price, so Sony is gonna loose a lot of money.
All for Blu ray which has more disc space but does nothing for gaming. Sony should of focused on games not d...
some people still think certain games from PS3 can't be on 360. That's just foolish, all games can be done on all consoles.
They prove that when we see the same games on PS3/360 and also on PS2. It might not be the same game on PS2 but it can be done.
Exclusives are the most important to me, because I consider most multi platform games run of the middle kind of junk.
When a game is mulit, I loose a lot of interest automatically.
360 500k
PS3 198k
Are they still gonna keep saying PS3 needs NO PRICE CUT!!
Do they have to do everything half ways?
Only on Playstation?
Can they please finished the sentence and just say
"Only on Playstation 3" 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3
This isn't on PS2 or PSP.
.
liked the original better. Kinda stays true to the original style but it showcases the monster struck which is one of the new things about the game.
I thought 2008 was the year, in 2009 XBOX 360 will probably get Halo 4 or something, then maybe PS3 will be looking foward to 2010. Please...
if sony doesn't win 2008, they're done. Don't even mention 2009, in 2009, it will be 2010. We've already heard enough.
Sorry, but Pacther pretty much confrimed that 360 won August, and now 360 has further price cuts. So you can imagine what's gonna happen.
PS3 needs a price cut, or it's gonna struggle.
EDIT:
I just wonder what the crazy Sony fans will say when the PS3 starts getting stomped in the coming months? Are the dumb enough that they will still be thinking PS3 doesn't need a price cut?
the new prices and all the advertisment are gonna start moving more 360's.
all PS3 needs is to answer with it's own low priced sku. I think the lineup of the games are is about equal this year.
You watch TV, and Madden 09 commercials show the XBOX 360 version exclusively. I just saw a commercial of Rockband 2, and Microsoft wastes no time to say "FIRST ON XBOX 360", and then always followed by now starting at $199.
That's gonna boost sales, Microsoft just seems to have a greed or ambition that Sony just doesn't get.
I don't expect it to be a huge hit, since it's already been out on XBOX 360 for a long time.
360 still beating on PS3, having a 3 to 1 userbase advantage in North American, and still cuts price before PS3.
PS3 is getting stomped. I really want to see them NOT cut price this year. Lets see what all the crazy PS3 fans will say.
That means 360 won this month... DAMNIT
But just when the F*ck will home be out? Fall 2010?
PS3 got outsold by 360, and the price cuts haven't even taken effect. If PS3 doesn't cut price, it's gonna be a tough holiday for them.
Last year they didn't really have the games to compete with 360, but they lowered the price and hung in there but still lost badly.
This year the games are more level, but if they don't cut the price it's gonna be another loss.
They need the games and price and together they will be right there, neck and neck with ...
