Why b1tch about the situation. They have a review build of the game, and we have all seen to what that can lead. For example, reviewers changing scores because load times were very long in the review build but completely normal in the final release.
If the reviewers do not like the NDA restrictions then they should hold off on the review until the day of release when the NDA becomes obsolete.

We all knew it was delayed until this fall and we all knew there would be an open beta before the final release. It doesn't matter because its a FREE product. So when the beta becomes open to all PSN users then it will essentially be RELEASED.
And it really helps show how well the PS2 is still being supported.
but I hope we have less to worry about compared to then thanks to the fact that there is a greater variety of gaming platforms now than there were then.
Also thanks to the capabilities of current devices integrating things such as web access and social forums into the games and features.
I agree that the Wii is a Shovelware haven. So was the NES. Many say that Nintendo saved the gaming industry with the NES, and i agree to that as well. The NES gave birth to many of the core gamers of today.

It is a program with an interactive interface. I know you know it has videos as well as other content, but if you look at the video preview you can see that its something very similar to the PSN Store.
Since everything will be in HD and I'm believe that they want to be sure the only way to view it is via PS3, then I'm betting there will be DRM on all content coming from Qore

Sure it is composed of videos but it has its own interface so it going to be a greater hassle to capture it and upload to the internet that would capturing a video. Think of it as a newly updated form of the Playstation Underground Magazine.

I was always hoping you would be able to make videos of the creatures. Especially since all this Youtube APL and PS3 news had been popping up.
I mean just imagine being able to create your very own (albeit virtual) video documentary of creatures of Africa, apply music to them and post them on Youtube directly from you PS3.
Doesn't matter though I'm still very interested in this game.
It's only half the price of a Live Gold account.

This is obviously not a complete build of the game. The Demo played better than this video.
I would imagine that this isn't the first time the game has been moved to a different engine. Who made the engine it was on before UE3 was created???
I hope this new engine helps this games progress and makes it better than I had anticipated, but I remain skeptical.
But GTAIV on PS3 will automatically go to the pause screen when you press the Home button. Now it may just be VERY good timing on his part or we could have seen the real thing here.
EDIT: Now that I take a second look at things, I noticed that the game is un-paused before the XMB goes away.
Because 12 years isn't long enough. It will become urban legend when ever person who was alive when it was announced has died. Then after our grandchildren grow old and die it will be officially a myth. These video updates are only prolonging that time.
