Really excited for Dust 514! I hope that it delivers on what the devs set out to make. The trailer definitely gives me some reassurance. Can't wait to see some gameplay!
Oh god yes! Nier is one of those games that I will cherish for the rest of my life. It's narrative, coupled with those incredibly atmospheric musical scores, made for such a compelling and engaging experience. It was such a shame to learn that Cavia got bought out and dissolved within another company. Nier was truly their Swan Song. But I have heard that Square Enix wants to make some more titles that will expand upon Nier's universe. That makes me both excited to see more Nierness, b...
Yes it is coming to North America and Europe. It's supposed to come out shortly after it hits store shelves in Japan. I remember watching a walkthrough vid on N4G from PSblogger (or some site with a name close to that) and the guide estimated its release for August.
@Wicko
Making rash generalizations about studios who localize foreign titles isn't a good thing, my friend. I don't believe Atlus views gamers like you and me as "morons." I mean, if they did, then they probably wouldn't be going to the extensive and expensive trouble of actually making an effort towards quality dubbing.
There do exist studios who put out games with horrible voice work (i.e. Star Ocean 4 and Arc Rise Fantasia), but t...
I lol'd when the video started and the guy in the background was like "Die you b******s!!!" *boom*!!!
Islands of Wakfu isn't an MMO, it's a spin-off of Wakfu and Dofus, which are MMOs for the PC. Islands supports up to two players for co-op gameplay.
I predict that Level-5, as part of their latest desire to reach out to an international market, will announce their plans to localize Ni no Kuni, followed by the subsequent "woots" heard round the western hemisphere.
Awesome! I think this is the first build I've seen of the game with English voice-overs. All of the other vids had Japanese voices with English subs. Makin progress! Having both language tracks is a nice addition to an already appealing game. Can't wait to play it!
I thought it was grain of salt. Isn't pinch of salt used to describe how much to put into a recipe? Or for that over the shoulder superstition thingamajig?
"Colloquially known as Idea Fuck to those who’ve suffered its games before, Idea Factory churns out some of the worst RPGs in Japan."
That is, without a doubt, the most unprofessional thing I've ever heard a member of the video game "press" spew out of their keyboard. When someone goes in to review a game with this much pre-meditated bias, they don't deserve to be in the position they are in. Thankfully, I would much rather listen to the impressi...
Whoa, man. Was only trying to make a lighthearted joke. Apologies if it got on your nerves.

Great to see a video highlighting a new weapon for this game. One of my initial worries was the depth of its combat system, but I no longer feel that way. There's a lot of ways you can approach a fight, from weapon choice, to enemy manipulation (i.e. disarming and juggling), it's got it all.
So:
Good presentation: Check
Engaging combat: Check
Now, I really want to learn more about the narrative and characters. Especially Lucifel....
That's entirely dependent on whether or not Tales of Graces F sells well enough in the west. So speak with your wallet, my friend.
Really excited for this game! It's got that awesome Platinum style we've come to know and love.

This is the FF Reunion Twitter account, but it's all in Japanese. From the tweets I've tried to translate, none of them seemed to mention Microsoft, the 360, or a conference. Maybe someone else will have better luck than me trying to find the right tweet, cuz I gots nothin.
From Software is publishing it in Japan for a 2011 release while Namco Bandai is publishing it in Europe and North America for a 2012 release.
Edit: I've been ninja'd. wwm0nkey beat me to it.
You've played it? Didn't think so, brosef.
I really hope the patch appears in the form of an extra difficulty setting, so that the option for the hard mode is always there for the player whenever his/her inner-masochist comes a-callin'.
"The new game supports Kinect, but Kinect isn't man enough for From Software's team, so expect a controller-driven mech with an onscreen 'virtual HUD' powered by motions, gestures, and head-tracking."
You mean, I can use my controller? You've just made me a potential customer. Thank you, From Software.
