the battlesystem has way more depth than described by you...try any RPG for 1 hour and you will see that all battles seem boring and linear...give it another try and you will know what I mean
import it...you dont wanne know how many games I had to import to europe cause they didnt get released or I had to wait for so long...I bought an american snes, NTSC N64 , etc.
region lock is not something nintendo invented...I agree that region lock is something mean to do and that is why I think it is legitimate to soft mod ur wii to play the import.
you dont harm nintendo in any way. after u r done with the game you can reverse ur wii back to normal.
Xenoblade really made me love nintendo again...it is games like xenoblade that Nintendo used to be all about...love the game...best RPG of the decade!

a pal wii used is like 50 bucks...together with the game you will pay maybe 120dollar plus if you get a good deal...
I cant tell you how often I imported a game cause it wasnt released in europe...I never whined about it ...you are loosing ur time ...better start playing the game cause it is worth it.

pull yourself together and find a solution if you really want to play the game now...if not be patient cause it will get released in US eventually soon...
