Think about it like this. You roam around in an open world (small open world but still) where you can encounter random battles and if you win said battles, you gain experience points where you can level up your character.
Now of course, that's about as far as Yakuza goes to being an RPG but if going by definition then it just barely meets the requirements. Just barely.

There's a few things that aren't so great with the first one. The survivors AI is really dumb. Like, reeeaaaally dumb. As in if you had any problems with the survivors AI in DR2 or 3, keep in mind that they're still much more intelligent than the ones in DR1.
Also, infinity mode is seriously ridiculous. If you're into achievements/trophies, have fun playing the game nonstop for 14 hours trying to get that one little text saying you survived for 7 days ingame...

I live in South Korea right now. It's one of the reasons why I have a vpn now. Never played this game and I probably won't because visual novels bore me, but the law is pretty ridiculous.
One time, my friends and I were playing Tabletop Simulator and one of them pulled out the tablet in the game and tried to go on pornhub for fun. They got hit with the Korean block page and had a big laugh about it.
Hopefully it'll be better than Girl Fight.
