I'm picking up a Wii U later this year when Smash Bros. arrives. By then I'll be able to enjoy three major Mario Games, Monster Hunter, Donkey Kong, Zelda and plenty of other titles. Those who picked up the Wii U early on had a rough time, but purchasing a Wii U sounds like a reasonable thing to do soon.
Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. only appeal to Nintendo fans? Are you mad or something?
I won't deny that the name of a console has an impact on how its received by the public and "hardcore" gamers. The best example of this is probably the Xbox One, because it was ridiculed at first as well. However, the name of a console will NOT, and I repeat, NOT prevent someone from purchasing it.
The only exception to this is when it causes confusion and that's primarily been an issue with the 3DS and not the Wii U. Most non-gamers I know immediately under...
Yes, because the name of a console sure as hell determines whether or not I wish to purchase it. It's not like the software has anything to do with it.
Of course violent media brings out the "worst" in someone. I'm not going to go out and shoot people after watching a movie or playing a game, but I could perhaps feel pumped to do silly stuff I would otherwise not do. Now, if someone were to commit an act of crime after experiencing violent media, well, that person had a problem to begin with.
I'm not. Dropping support for a console this early in its cycle led to the destruction of companies like SEGA.
*sigh*
So because Nintendo admitted they've made some major mistakes with the Wii U it's now somehow "official"? Well, you know, everyone and their moms could've told you that a year ago.
At best the Wii U will end up like the GameCube and that's not a bad thing. We still have a lot of great games coming up for the console, including Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong, Super Smash Bros., the new Zelda and X. If you think about it...
Call of Duty says "hi".
Bravely Default, two Professor Laytons, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Smash Bros. and Yoshi's New Island. Not a lot yet, if you think about it, but we'll probably see four-five announcements before or during E3.
That has to be the sexiest looking console I have ever seen. I mean, I'm a PC gamer, but this puts even some case mods to shame.
Dat Master Sword.
Gimme.
"Oh, look, it's the true next-gen consoles that are outselling a console that isn't really next-gen!"
Am I supposed to act shocked now? At best the Wii U will end up like the GameCube and that doesn't have to be a bad thing.
Anyone who needs a guide on how to play this mode shouldn't be playing it in the first place. I know that sounds harsh, but I have seen more complexity in a game of tic tac toe.
I lol'd so hard when the guy just slipped forward. The jeep was even more ridiculous.
How 'bout those who didn't buy it on Steam?
Not sure if serious or just trollin'.
I mean it.
Where in my comment does it imply that I am a fanboy, let alone ignorant? Ubisoft delayed Rayman and released in a period that makes it compete with massive games, like Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Watch Dogs and the list goes on.
I love the amount of disagrees we're getting. Taunting customers with a delay like Rayman's damages a company's reputation. I don't feel like picking up Rayman at the moment, because there are bigger games on the horizon.
If only you hadn't delayed Rayman.
When is the nail in your coffin going to be placed, Pachter?
He truly is the definition of an open door.
