I agree with all of that. Not often that happens ;)
I would say, though, that we probably haven't seen what current PC technology is really capable of not because the top-end cards aren't capable of mind-boggling levels of visual fidelity way, way, way beyond what PS3/360 are capable of, but more that they have to support an increasingly resource hungry OS running in the background. Plus, since PÇ gaming in the old sense of the term is kind of dying a death, deve...
Personally, if there was a new Xbox or Playstation available tomorrow, I'd be one of the first in the queue.
They could bring a new one out every month and I'd buy them, so long as each iteration showed tangible benefits. I think there's a danger of actual harm coming to the industry if the technology is allowed to stagnate. People play with their new toys, but as they become like the figurative tatty-eared old teddy bear, there's an increasing tendency to sto...
Can't believe everyone on this thread is being so nice about it. The title is plainly misleading and I for one, don't support hit-jipping liars.
The article is also quite exceptionally dull.
If their bank accounts are emptied, I can absolutely guaran-f'ing-tee 75 million people are going to sue.
That's not what the article says. The article says that 75 million people suing them could.
Maybe you should read it next time?
You know, those who call themselves fans, should be fans of the truth first and foremost. It's not looking good for Sony; if the press come out and say that, then that's a good thing, even if it offends your indefatigable man-love for a Japanese technology company who doesn't even know you exist.
Could next-gen console war be 3-horse race?
Kinect has nothing I want. Nothing.
This guy probably ate chocolate, too.
Chocolate!!!!!! No wonder he's a psycho.
Ban chocolate immediately.
I liked FC2, actually. It has problems, sure, but a ton of good stuff too.
Amazing. Not one person in this thread has read the article. Absolutely stunned.
Bizarre's a good analogy. Now neversoft's making something completely different it will struggle to compete with studios that have been doing that stuff for years
I think if they're intentionally funny (IE Duke Nukem), they don't really count.
I approved this article because it raises some very interesting points and compared to the vast majority of stuff on N4G, it's fantastically well-written and well thought out.
A consumer knows what he wants, but consumers - plural - haven't got a clue. They all want different things, which all goes to form a kind of hive stupidity.
Showing your age there. Ah, good times. Us olds remember the good/bad old days.
Starting to think the 3DS is going to be massive
Haha... plus bubbles.
Nice!
Loved Brotherhood. LOVED it. People banging on about how it was 'Just an expansion' are either mentally incapable, or never played it, latching instead onto whatever opinion is doing the rounds at the time.
Cannot wait for this.
