Yeah right...apple is highly overrated...this ain't the cell phone or mp3 player market...Nintendo and Sony have decades of experience in this industry...and Microsoft has gained a lot of experience since the Xbox...Apple will not succeed....they don't even have dev studios and their products are expensive for no reason...that won't work in the console market

I think if we get a PS2 to PS3 like leap for the PS3 to PS4...the GT and MLB games on PS4 would be pretty hard to tell from watching TV when being observed casually by an observer.
As good as Apple is in in their lane...its not easy to come into the console hardware business and take over....ask Microsoft
Sony did take over with their first entry, the PlayStation. But I doubt Apple can do the same.

Unless Microsoft plans on outfitting every Xbox Infinity with at least 2 TB hard-drives and use standard hard-drives not proprietary...then not including a disc drive would be even more stupid then some of their Xbox 360 hardware decisions...

The audience is ripe on PS3...Konami only released one MGS this gen and Sony has not released any Syphon Filter PS3 games.

The Assassin's Creed franchise is arguably the best new franchise this gen...maybe second only to Uncharted franchise...Mass Effect is also up there.
The point being Ubi has consistently improved on their offering...and Assassin's Creed III looks to be even more improvement.

I want to see a very noticeable jump in realism and graphics in order to be convinced to go next gen...a GameCube to Wii jump will not do it for me
I think the PS3 is very powerful and only a few really great developers have tapped into this power.
I also think the efficiency of power utilization varies from game engine to game engine.
Heavy Rain has unbelievable graphics. Heavy Rain has the most detailed in-game character models second only to the Kratos character model in GOW III.
People also should keep in mind that some developers have only released 1 PS3 game...

I agree...and the funny thing is Heavy Rain is still one of the best looking games on consoles...and this year old demo on the new engine looks a lot better...and at same time still running on PlayStation 3...amazing
