Too bad Microsoft and Nintendo are not as consumer focused as Sony.
I am completely satisfied with my PS3 purchase. Sony has provided more than I could have ever asked for in a console and its exclusive games.
In 2007 after 1st price drop, I bought my launch PS3 60GB(upgraded to 320GB). It YLOD in 2011. It had a good 4 year run.
I fixed it myself and then bought a SLIM
The SLIM is my main system.
My launch PS3 will be used for my 200+ PS2 games
Will pick up PS4 after first price drop and probably after they work the kinks out of the launch units.
I will be playing my PS3 well into next gen

If you own Heavenly Sword, take a look at the back of the box.
I think a top 5 PS3 list would be hard to come up with because the PS3 has so many top exclusives let alone top games.
Each gamer's top 5 can be completely different from each other and still be very valid.
I own every top PS3 game and many low end games as well.
My top 5 would have to include
1. GOW III
2. Heavy Rain
3. Red Dead Redemption
4. Uncharted 1/2/3
5. LBP 1/2

The announcement is definitely Heavenly Sword related. GOW is too big of a franchise to not be presented at a major gaming event or at VGAs
Heavenly Sword is probably one if not the most underrated game this gen.
Too bad ninja theory took a step back with enslaved. I played and beat both games and Heavenly Sword was better in every way....from graphics, gameplay, voice ac...

Naughty Dog's Uncharted team has now moved to PS4...
Sucker Punch and Evolution has probably moved to PS4...
Sony Santa Monica GOW team is still on PS3...GOW IV is a PS3 title
Studios releasing games this year will move to PS4 after their respective releases.
You won't see many PS3 exclusives next year...except mayb...
PS4 needs to have 8 GB of Memory for games...and separate memory to run OS features...
PlayStations always have powerful CPUs...so I am not worried about CPU...
I think Sony will be smarter about their GPU choice next gen

I have played most of this gen's games...and I have to say Heavy Rain is one of the best games this gen...in terms of graphics and game experience...

I am in no rush. I am still backed up from last gen.
I got PS2 and GameCube games that I still have to complete.
I also have a few PS1 games to complete...oddly enough...LOL
Sony can take their time...I won't be purchasing any next gen systems till probably 2015
