No it is not. Bandai Namco classifies it as an escort title.
This just further shows that Sega she let other devoted fans handle their classic IPs
Wow a whole $5 off the Link’s Awakening remake that has no business being $60 in the first place
Such value 🙄
“The game did well enough to warrant the franchise's only sequel, 2008's Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.”
So I guess Tales of Destiny 2 and Tales of Xillia 2 don’t exist then 🤨
And unlike DotNW, they’re mainline mothership titles in the series
Groan another “treatment” article
“Final Fantasy 7 sported a dark and edgy design that stood in direct opposition to the normally bright and cheery JRPG. Other games followed suit and the colorful aesthetic of Dragon Quest simply didn't hold the same appeal for Western audiences at the time.”
That’s a tired excuse. A colorful aesthetic didn’t stop Dragon Quest from achieving widespread success in the west. Plenty of other colorful RPGs found success outside of Japan, with Pokémon being the greatest...
It’s rare that anyone mentions that anything is just whelming
Expect it to get revamped every so often as well
Splatoon 2 finally sold over 10 million units
Your math must be horrible in this regard if you suppose that 3-1 ratio to come true
Even if Xbox One were to sell 0 units from this day forward that ratio is unrealistic. XO is estimated at 46-47 million right now, which would mean PS4 would have to reach 138-141 million units yesterday just to accomplish that ratio at this exact moment.
This doesn’t even mention the reality that XO is still selling units. Even if XO were sell 3 million more units units ...
That’s as absurd as saying Square Enix should put Dragon Quest XII on hold just to focus on Final Fantasy VII Remake. Or even more ludicrous that Nintendo should put everything else on hold while they focus on Breath of the Wild 2.
They have multiple teams that work on these massive projects, and Business Division 2 aka Luminous Productions aka the FFXV team are free to work on a new AAA title which they’ve already confirmed that they’re doing so.
It’s about damn time
Imagine how much it’ll take for the entire remake. I wouldn’t be surprised if everything came close to a terrabyte
No matter what happens in the decades to come, always remember this. The least successful PlayStation console still sold more than the most successful Xbox console.
It’s unlikely Microsoft could ever release a more successful console than Xbox 360, let alone cross the 100 million mark like its fellow competition has done multiple times.
Power doesn’t decide who wins but brand loyalty sure does and Microsoft will never win any generation if they can’t garn...
If you want to talk about annoying compromises don’t even get me started on the paltry amount of storage sizes Nintendo keeps saddling its consumers with since ‘06
There’s never going to an end in sight for such a lucrative series period.
With the amount of monthly free games, game subscription services, and frequent discounts it’s nigh impossible to get through my huge backlog
First world problems to the max
You could say any game is perfect for any system
How that statement keeps getting repeated is what makes it memetic. At that point you might as well say oxygen is perfect for your lungs
I feel like this problem will get worse in the 9th gen
“The PS3 got a bad rep for a lot of other things, such as its narcoleptic and sometimes unresponsive menu interface“
What? The XMB was the snappiest UI of all 7th gen systems. How was it unresponsive in any way?
“History does not look back with kind eyes on the prodigal son”
Yet of all 7th gen systems PS3 ended on the highest note
