The only rumors that have caught on and not been debunked so far have been gimmicks for the PS5 not the Scarlett. This has been the only one about an Xbox and Microsoft nip this one in the butt right away. The PS5 still has this same rumor (a camera on the device) from the same article and leaker. Has Sony come out and said "no cameras on are machine"? PS5 also have that rumor of a camera on the controller, built-in VR tech in the each cons...
Is it just mean does this sounds somewhat similar to a feature the original Xbox One had? It think that feature seemed to get tossed out with the removal of the always on DRM and family/sharing after the reveal. In any case I don't remember it being around after the reveal in 2013.
Of course the Xbox One help assist feature wasn't some fancy AI assistant where it appears to follow your game play and insert itself into your progress asking if you want help when it no...
Wrong. Where do you get your news? I cannot even imagine the Cartoon News Network populates that bullshit. This has to do with Airbus receiving, illegal sussidies mind you, billions in money from the European government to prop up the company unfairly and the money judgement was handed down by the WTO. A little hard to have anything to do with not buying Boeing now since it has to do with issues happening 15 years ago. But nice try. Your ignorance is apparently working at full 100%. Don...
So you be OK with a game popping up ads in the middle of playing? Nothing obtrusive. Maybe in the lower third of the screen. Just click away. It may return 20 hours later, then just click it away again. Not a big deal using that same logic you provide. The game is the publishers own product, especially not an issue if ads deal with gaming (come buy this new MT for this game), ads help generate revenue for the developer, creates profit, profit equals more games from the developer. Do I have ...
Sure console but, how do you play those PS4 games on a PC. Answer stream at 720p. If I am being honest (which I always am) if PSNow was on mobile this whole time 720p would not be an issue for me. I would gladly accept 720p on any screen 10" or smaller (pretty much all mobile devices). But, selling streaming to PC at 720p seems like horrible option for anybody that wants to play almost any PS4 game on those larger monitors (24"+). God I can only imagine the downgrade the experi...
None that affects the game. There were microtransactions in Uncharted 4 did that ruin the $60 game? You know what didn't have microtransactions: HZD. And you know what HZD didn't have as well? Thousands of do-dads (pink, rainbow guns, 100's of costumes, etc..). Without MTs Guerilla games did not spend the time on developers making all those additional options. The game was just as basic as Gears provides with its out of the gate list, well actually a lot less than Gears out of ...
@waverider I think the plan is to expose Game Pass so it become synonymous as the go to gaming service. Where when you ask people about a good service they say Game Pass and it creates that perpetual growth (more people in, more people recommend exponentially). And when XCloud arrives Microsoft will transition the service to the purpose of game streaming to mobile as well to get those people who are not buying into consoles but, over time will buy into streaming. Again when people ...
@rdgneoz3 Working on PC is not the same thing between the two services. One is the actual game being played locally in all its designed glory, not a streaming version that is delivered at a lower then original quality the you get with PSNow. PSNow is still streaming that does not change because you are doing to a PC. It is still locked at 30fps, 720p, always on internet, loss of fidelity. Game Pass PC are the actual games (and a slightly different catalog). In the future Game Pass ...
I don't expect everybody to buy every console. I have both (well all three). So my question to you as person not invested in the X1 is if next-generation comes around and you still don't buy the actual next Xbox console would you subscribe to Game Pass if everything was stream-able? If this good value also gave an easier access to content on almost any device, without having to spend $500 on an actual Xbox, would that be something that you would/could buy into then?
@XabiDaChosenOne Yet you ignore the simple fact (one that every PS fanboy mentions when xCloud is brought up) that Sony has been doing all this streaming first. Not a year or two but gaming as full true service for 5 1/2 years with PSNow (almost 7 years by the time xCloud actually goes public this time next year). So, how magical to see you deflect the blame towards Microsoft as if it is Sony following a path started by Microsoft but in reality in truth it began with Sony. Be pro...
There are a public company. So, you can't just go out and buy them. There are thousands of owners not one or two owners. If anything was in pipeline we would know that it was in play at this point. As a stock holder I would get a vote (of course I don't have a ton of stock in Sony but, they still would have to put it to shareholders in some ceremonial move to us small investors). Not that Sony couldn't be negotiating with Apple (or Amazon or another giant corp).
The PSNow is primarily old crap. They need to be more proactive with content. I think this is a good first step. But, I don't like the idea of removing these so called marquee games so quickly (three months). Meanwhile the same old crap no-one plays sticks around forever. Get rid of the games that are not being played. I am sure that is quite a lot of the catalog that can removed. That would shore up a licensing money that could be spent getting more recent content.
Great move. I have been clamoring for both a price change and getting some actual more recent exclusives and third-party content released in the last few years. Next step upgrading the streaming end and expanding it to mobile devices. If they do this it will be a much more popular service.
The one negative in all this is that it appears these games (UC4 & GOW) are only part of the catalog for a limited time only. According to the announcement they will be removed from t...
@Jim_Sakai No they aren't. Both Spencer and Booty explicitly said all first party games are exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem (Windows PC & console). Ori is made by a third-party developer that is supported by Microsoft. Both of this and Cuphead is Microsoft playing nice with their next-door neighbor, Nintendo. Additionally, it is a way to get Xbox Live services on the Switch. Providing exclusives to another platform is no different then Quantic Dream is for Sony. Now that ...
Rumor was (because that is all we have on this matter) is Lockhart had the same CPU but a different GPU power level. Graphics scale fairly competently, CPU does not. Lockhart had the same built-in silicon features like Havok physics but, the TF were less (somewhere equivalent to the the current X's 6TF). It was designed to be for the 50% of those TVs that will still be 1080p. 6TF is more than enough to give 1080p massive quality jump. 4K is not expected to get past 65% saturation point ...
It is strange that people think because he had a few resonable (mildly obvious) predictions that he got close to being right that he is on target here . Maybe, he will be, but I personally am predicting that this will end up being different drive sizes (since that is the easiest way to cut costs to get the device down to a planned price). I think there was somebody (was it Resetra, I can't remember) that did a cursory count of his predictions and found he was batting well below .250. ...
So when Microsoft was rumored to be doing this (Lockhart and Anaconda) at the start of this year it was a bad idea? But, now the (rumored) possibility of Sony doing something similar it becomes a brilliant move?
