I'll wait 2 or 3 more years before purchasing PS3. The big question is will it worth buying for games because in that time next XBOX will arive which will be powerfull than PS3 for sure more sure. PS3's architecture is not what developers will folow to. Only Sony 1st party will but they became not profitable at all with PS3 game sales and rised concurention.

Processor power is not all what we need to make super GFX in modern game development.
Processor power just adds more particle effects, more physics, and can calculate ligthings(in XBOX all thouse callculations except physics does GPU). But it can't render more objects on screen, make textures better, rise render resolution, make 3d scene bigger. It's all GPU part or work. And in thouse parts PS3 GPU is weaker.
