Agreed. I think the best thing that could happen if this crossover happens is if Iron Galaxy designs the game from the ground up. I'm a fan of the Mortal Kombat, well more so the lore and characters behind the series, not so much the gameplay and programming. KI is a very well made game, and incorporates a lot of 3D fighting game mechanics in a 2D presentation which is what Mortal Kombat does. Ehh, I'm not too sure about an Action Adventure game in first person. I'm sure there might be some good ones out there, but if there are, I haven't heard of them or played them. I really like what they've done to Tomb Raider though, really feels like they took the mechanics that Crystal Dynamics brought in with Legend and improved upon them for the best. Yeah, this game needed the change especially coming from 5, and 6. It cracks me up that people keep saying this should have been a new IP, because the "links" to the series go over their heads, or they don't understand that this is a playable teaser to show that they can bring the atmosphere of the originals back and nothing more.

It's pretty fun so far, granted I didn't spend much time with Halo Wars 1, but so far the controls feel better and the base building and controlling feels more streamlined. Only RTSs I could get into was Dawn of War and Halo Wars.

So far, in my opinion it has one of the most compelling stories of this year for gaming. I haven't played the first Mafia game, but I've played 2 and I really loved the whole Godfather 2 feel that the second game had.

There's nothing genius about plagiarism. His entire "Gears Of War" series is lifted from the lore of Warhammer 40K. That's not to say I don't enjoy Gears, but he did steal a ton of concepts and lore.
